Pleasant chocolatey roast aroma. Dark red, tight tan head. Spicy taste, roasty, some odd chemical orange aspect (mainy in Phil's glass and maybe hopping-related). Wateryish palate for a stout, very dry and tingly bitterness in the finish. Interesting one.
From bottle at OSB påslutning at TO's 16.09.17. Almost ebony. Pale brown head and lacing. Rather moderate aroma, with some dark malt. Taste of dark malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Quite dry. Good drinkability. rozsoma (1098) - Gyõr, HUNGARY - SEP 14, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 14, 2017 Táp @ Helgis, Kirkwall. Istenkeáldásos kis sneaky weaky stoutocska, ódon de nem ócska. ianwelby (1456) - SCOTLAND - AUG 3, 2017
Dark, opaque beer with a thin beige head.Smells of toffee, caramel, malt. Flavour doesn’t quite live up to the aroma, in truth. Malt, toffee, a bit of chocolate but there isn’t a lot of oomph and the finish is a touch watery, though there’s still a decent hit of maltiness there. Very decent for a stout of the strength but when I first copped a smell I thought it was going to be more special than it is. imdownthepub (14983) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 18, 2017
Cask conditioned at The North Norfolk Railway Beer Festival ’17, Sheringham, Norfolk. Very dark brown with cream head. This proved to be dark roasted with a keen bitterness, quite drying. There is a toasty character, a hint of coffee powder. Pretty reasonable.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 19 April 2017) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with dark chocolate, tobacco, liquorice, coffee and cacao. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, liquorice, hints of tobacco and a generous roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well made stout. Very nice. sarauckelman (550) - Durham, Durham, ENGLAND - APR 3, 2017
