3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap @ProofBrewing. Pours black with small cream colored head. Aroma is obviously coffee, a little bit of toffee and chocolate in the background. Mouthful is suprsingly light bodied with mainly coffee and some other very minor spice notes. All in all a nice lighter coffee porter, but nothing special.
Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is a mild coffee with an equally mild chocolate and roast. Flavor is again a very mild coffee with some roasted malt and not much else. Everything in this beer was way low key. As a porter this was ok, the adjuncts used did not stand out. willisread (3799) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 8, 2017
Bottle from Trader Joe's. Pours a deep brown to black with a small bit of head that dissipates quickly. Big roasty coffee ground nose, slight chicory. Thin on the palate, dark chocolate. Slightly sour. Light lingering coffee roast. HourGlass13 (1097) - North Carolina, USA - NOV 26, 2017
Pours black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a rich coffee note with a decent amount of roasted malts and dark grains. Flavor has some earthy chocolate with dark grains and a strong coffee note. Good stuff. eRock_2013 (522) - South Carolina, USA - NOV 14, 2017
Enjoyed this brew from Highland last night, probably now one of my favorite coffee infused beers! Poured a solid red/brown accented black color, classic Porter appearance. Aroma had fresh chocolate malt and subtly sweet coffee beans, with an interesting fruity component. Flavor was a solid medium-bodied roasty cocoa and coffee, I appreciate that the coffee note is not overdone, honestly without looking at the label it would not be obvious that actual coffee was utilized. I much prefer this over other common coffee beers such as Sierra Nevada's coffee stout, which I recall was rather thinned out and overtly tasted of coffee. Overall a well-executed and well-balanced rendition of the style. Bacchus66 (999) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 24, 2017
12oz bottle @ home. Very dark brown with a full light brown head and good lacing. Big coffee nose with roasted malt and chocolate notes. Flavors also roasted coffee and malt, cocoa. Medium bodied with a nicely balanced mocha finish. Really nice.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body with a one finger fizzy beige head that faded to a thin ring. The nose is really heavy on the coffee, which is a plus for me. Dark roast coffee, a slight citrus note, chocolate malt, a little roast. The flavor is all coffee up front, very rich and bold without being acrid at all. Some light chocolate malt, and maybe a touch of the dark wheat in the middle. Lingering coffee and cocoa. Medium bodied with a slight cling and soft fizzy carbonation. Nice beer, especially for this coffee lover. nasty3939 (35) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 5, 2017
Had a pint at WOB in Destin. I have this right behind their Black Watch as my 2nd favorite beer from Highland. A robust coffee forward porter. jflopsu (1862) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JAN 26, 2017
Pours black with brown head. Has a coffee and roasted malt aroma. A coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt. A lingering coffee and roasted malt aftertaste. TheBeachBeers (16) - - DEC 15, 2016
Dark brown in color, with thick, light brown head. Hints of raisins and coffee beans in the aroma. Less bitter than expected, despite its strong coffee taste. Doofgoblin (513) - Chevy Chase, Washington DC, USA - NOV 21, 2016
Aroma is like fresh coffee. Taste is more coffee with a light toasty malt underbelly. Some carbonation, but overall it’s a light bodied brew with lots of coffee, lots.
