COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This robust porter has a full body with some hints of chocolate from the chocolate malt and midnight wheat. The mild noble hop aroma showcases the roasty flavors and subtle fruit and spice notes of the artisan-roasted Fair Trade/Organic coffee of Black Mountain, NC’s Dynamite Roasting Co.

Pitch black pour little bit of an orange hue with a thin off white head .... Aroma of bitter dark chocolate, mostly bitter dark roasted coffee, caramel malts ... Taste of dark bitter chocolate, roasted coffee, caramel malts and bitter hops .... Has a nice bitter hoppy bite on the backend very well represented on the roasted side that’s for sure .... Finish is dry and bitter ... Body is thin but this is definitely a nice coffee porter

Bottle from Total Wine in Stuart. Pours a very dark brown with a tan head, leaving very little lace. Aroma has coffee .... and coffee. Wow, like cold coffee to the nose, with some caramel underneath. Coffee fan, so that was terrific. Taste is of coffee, and sweet caramel, and some chocolate. Fairly thin Light to medium bodied. First half glass was cellar temperature and the refrigerator temp was far superior. Finishes coffee bitter with some sweetness, and perhaps a bit short. Enjoyably tasty, very coffee porter, just somewhat thin. Rating - due to the 5 compartments - probably higher than where this should be. Aroma WAS very nice. Taste WAS thin, but tasty enough. Finished nicely bittersweet. Add some depth and to a coffee-enjoyer, this would be easily 4+ total. Very nice smell and good flavors.
