12oz bottle from Lowes in Hickory. Blackish pour with a tan head and tight sheets of lacing. Aroma is pleasant roasted coffee and chocolate. Tastes follow suit with cocoa bitter, earthy, little vanilla. Sharp, slightly tinny texture. 7.2 ChainGangGuy (4941) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - JUL 14, 2012

Appearance: Pours what appears to be an essentially black body with a full, thick finger of medium-tan-hued foam.
Smell: Roasty, coffee-accented nose with a touch of bitter chocolate and increasingly fainter, lighter notes of caramel, pale malts, spicy hops, and fruit.
Taste: Roasty coffee and bitterish chocolate mingled with the base pale malts. Some thin traces of caramel, maybe even a fat drop of molasses in there as well. Very low fruitiness. Modestly spicy hops aided a bit by the roast, the carbonation, and wheat. Roasty finish with some of that dark chocolate lingering into the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation, though there’s an added skosh of crispness on the tail end of the swallow.
Overall: A solid, enjoyable coffee-infused porter.
Pours dark black with chestnut brown edges and one finger of tan head. Nose is very nice, molasses and sweet java notes. Lots of chocolate and a light roast. Coffee flavor is a tad weak. Spent grounds and bitter bakers chocolate. Noticeable acidity from the coffee and dark grain. Medium body with a slightly thin feel and almost absent carbonation. jandd1983 (4690) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - JUN 7, 2014
Sampled at the brewery. It poured a clear brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of moderately roasted coffee and spices. The taste was medium to heavy roasted dark coffee with some bittersweetness and a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. jsquire (4674) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - FEB 26, 2013
Dark beer with almost no head. Nose of green coffee beans and a little play doh. Sweet caramel flavor with some wet toast, roast grains and burnt sweetened coffee. Some celery and green stuff in the finish. The coffee flavor is pretty subtle.

Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is a mild coffee with an equally mild chocolate and roast. Flavor is again a very mild coffee with some roasted malt and not much else. Everything in this beer was way low key. As a porter this was ok, the adjuncts used did not stand out. edgallow (4629) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 9, 2012
22 oz bomber pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma of coffee and malts. Taste is the malts, chocolate and a hint of coffee. Nice beer

6 Jan 2015, bottle. Black. Nose is really big, bitter, dark espresso. Med body and moderately fizzy. Tastes like dark chocolate with hints of chili pepper. Faintly acidic. Nice enough. rondphoto (4514) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - FEB 9, 2014
@ Party Town / Florence KY --- Opaque brown-black with a light head cover, thin streaks of lace. Aroma is healthy earth, malt, and coffee. Taste matches the aroma: roasted malt, dark, moist earth, coffee, and dark toast are all present on a base of mild bittering. All moves smoothly to a lingering finish in which no additiopnal bittering is necessary. Very palatable, I’m having it tonight in front of TV and a fire with Triscuits and Havarti cheese. It’s a good night. maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - OCT 10, 2012
Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a small-to-moderate head. Good coffee notes in the nose, though the smell isn’t too strong. Great roasting and coffee flavors to this, which manage to be smooth on the palate despite the harsher flavors. Very nice brew.
