Man, I love beers with coffee in ’em. Absolutely love ’em. This one by Highland doesn’t really bring any innovation to the genre, but it’s still delicious and well made. I could drink a lot of this. Sampled at Knoxville brewer’s jam. 2011. elgiacomo (745) - Ringgold/Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, USA - NOV 29, 2011

Pours dark brown to black with a two finger brown head that leaves spotty lacing and holds a small creamy cap.
Aroma is roasted premium coffee, milk chocolate, roasted malts, straightforward, but good...especially the coffee.
Flavor is coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, some caramel & bread, some acidity and bitterness but there is some underlying sweetness not unlike a sweet stout. Minimal to no alcohol.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a little creamy with good carbonation.
Very tasty coffee brew. The coffee comes through best in the aroma but still is pretty front and center in the flavor as well.
Pours dark black with chestnut brown edges and one finger of tan head. Nose is very nice, molasses and sweet java notes. Lots of chocolate and a light roast. Coffee flavor is a tad weak. Spent grounds and bitter bakers chocolate. Noticeable acidity from the coffee and dark grain. Medium body with a slightly thin feel and almost absent carbonation. durhambeer (2500) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - DEC 26, 2011
Bought a 12-pack of this and almost forgot to rate it. Pours nearly black, just brown around the edges. Pours with a small head, but otherwise mostly flat. Nose is roasty coffee and cocoa nibs. Yum. Taste is a bit thin, as is the palate. Extra love for the cheap price tag. zizzybalubba (1880) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - DEC 30, 2011
12 oz. bottle from SoHo Organic Market, Elizabeth City, NC. Dark brown pour with a creamy khaki head. Aroma of strong coffee, rich dark chocolate, and dark roasted malts. Bitter coffee is most certainly noted in the flavor but is not overwhelming or unpleasant. It is more reminscent of cold coffee than anything. A good coffee porter.

Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Coffee aroma, with roasted malts and light sweetness. The flavor has sweet coffee, light roasted malts, and some floral hoppy bitterness. Pretty good. rbrazell (1698) - Florida, USA - JAN 11, 2012
Black pour with a small bubbly brown head that fades. Nose is deep roasted malts, tons of coffee and a hint of chocolate. Flavor is roast, fresh coffee and some sweet milk chocolate. Finishes a bit dry and bitter. Very nice coffee porter. drowland (8939) - Georgia, USA - FEB 29, 2012
2/29/12. 12oz bottle thanks to decaturstevo! Dark brown pour with a nice, thick brown head that cuts in half but sticks in spotty rings. Nice aroma with sweet and dark chocolates, slightly tart and acidic, but nice coffee, and smooth maltiness. Nice smooth chocolate and coffee combo in the flavor with lingering coffee and a hint of tartness and grain. Nice. smith4498 (3670) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - OCT 28, 2012
