3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours black from the bottle, with a foamy, mocha-brown head. The aroma is distinctly reminiscent of coffee and milk, with a bit of milk chocolate and some kind of dry mineral character beneath. The flavor is pleasantly mild, with a light coffee bitterness and lactose sweetness predominating, although some herbal hops and bittersweet chocolate are also present. Overall, although the flavor is a bit dominated by the coffee character, it doesn’t change the impression of this beer as a pleasant, drinkable porter.
12oz bottle @ home. Very dark brown with a full light brown head and good lacing. Big coffee nose with roasted malt and chocolate notes. Flavors also roasted coffee and malt, cocoa. Medium bodied with a nicely balanced mocha finish. Really nice. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 20, 2017
Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body with a one finger fizzy beige head that faded to a thin ring. The nose is really heavy on the coffee, which is a plus for me. Dark roast coffee, a slight citrus note, chocolate malt, a little roast. The flavor is all coffee up front, very rich and bold without being acrid at all. Some light chocolate malt, and maybe a touch of the dark wheat in the middle. Lingering coffee and cocoa. Medium bodied with a slight cling and soft fizzy carbonation. Nice beer, especially for this coffee lover. nasty3939 (30) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 5, 2017
Had a pint at WOB in Destin. I have this right behind their Black Watch as my 2nd favorite beer from Highland. A robust coffee forward porter. jflopsu (1617) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 26, 2017
Pours black with brown head. Has a coffee and roasted malt aroma. A coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt. A lingering coffee and roasted malt aftertaste. TheBeachBeers (16) - - DEC 15, 2016
Dark brown in color, with thick, light brown head. Hints of raisins and coffee beans in the aroma. Less bitter than expected, despite its strong coffee taste.

Aroma is like fresh coffee. Taste is more coffee with a light toasty malt underbelly. Some carbonation, but overall it’s a light bodied brew with lots of coffee, lots. oobawa (1416) - Tennessee, USA - NOV 16, 2016
Delicious coffee porter with deep, roasty veins of chocolate and java. Mild herbal bitterness on the finish. Damn tasty. Lowe1983 (1594) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - MAR 4, 2016
Pours a dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma is pretty good. Roasted malts and chocolate with a lot of coffee. Flavor is also mostly coffee with some roasted malts and chocolate. Pretty impressed with this brew. mintzmeet (457) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 16, 2016
Tastes like a breakfast stout. Strong coffee flavor as expected. Very hearty. Robust. Creamy. Surprisingly hoppy aftertaste. Itzjerm (2869) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - JAN 24, 2016
Thin fading heads. A bit thin on the tongue. Slight coffee bitterness. Strong coffee. Flavored. Nice beer though.
