Kauge (2064) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAY 12, 2016
Bottle from LCBO. BB Jul 2016. Pours dark brown with smallish light tan head. The aroma’s rather sweet, molasses, syrup, chocolate fudge, and only then some hinting smoky notes and a bit of roastiness. Tastes very sweet, excessively even, fudgy, and the roast and smokiness is in the background. The flat cola mentioned below is spot on. Very modest carbonation, dryish on the palate, abrupt and hollow in the finish. Not what I was expecting - too sweet, and the smokiness is really too mild in this one.

Where and how: b. 650 ml
Aroma: nice blend of pit fire and dark malts, good depth. Solid aroma with nice character to it.
Appearance :
Top: medium plus tanned head, creamy with lace and rings.
Base: dark brown
Palate : medium bodied with average finish.
Taste: tad too sweet, brown sugars, caramel with smoke, Flat cola in the mid. Bitter walls.
other notes if you consider what aroma presented you might be tad disappointed with its flavor.

Looks great. Chocolate and roasted malts on the nose and more of the same on the tongue. Really smooth. Just became my #1 Porter.

Subtle smokiness blends well with chocolate and vanilla. Medium to light body that definitely covers up the 6.5%. A surprisingly easy drinking beer.

best dark beer ive ever had, great aroma and taste, I would recommend everybody give this a try, not as heavy as most porters

Nice colour, aromas of chocolate n smoked wood(maybe hickory or maple). Nice crisp, mellow taste tbat doesnt linger on the palate too long like many porters. Nice session beer.

AgentAle (1808) - Alberta, CANADA - JAN 14, 2015
Aroma is rich malts, molasses, caramel, hickory and smoked wood. Taste is sweet malts with fairly deep malt complexity. Balanced well with a light hopiness. Appearance is a dark amber with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

[6567-20140801] Bottle. Mild roasted meat and malt and fruity plum aroma. Slightly hazy, dark brown black body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Toasted grains and chocolatey dust flavour. Medium-full body. Good, easy to drink. (7/4/8/3/15) 3.7

Fairly close to black pour with a medium tan head. Aroma has vanilla, some smoke, roasted malt. Taste has a little chocolate in it. Medium to full body.
