650ml bottle. Dark brown body with reddish tones, small dense latte head with excellent retention. Aroma of caramel malt, dates, light smokiness, blackberries jam, hazelnuts, a touch of coffee. Taste well done toast, caramel, a touch of smoke, licorice, a little coffee. Very well done.

Pours jet black, with a small brown head. Aroma notes include coffee, smoke nuts, espresso, toffee, tannins, and roasted malts. Tasting notes include coffee, roasted nuts, smoke, a slick earthy mouth feel but suffers from a watery body. Decent porter, but a little weak in the middle.

650ml brown bottle. Dark brown colour, large tan head. Nose has chocolate and light smoke. Taste of dark chocolate and roasted malts with light smoke notes. Dry finish, roasty aftertaste, creamy palate. Overall, a good porter, I would have enjoyed more smoke though.

650ml bottle pours a deep amber color with a finger of light beige head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild with chocolate and light roasted notes. Taste is a dark roasted grain bitterness with a chocolate malt sweetness finishing with a red wine grape dryness. A pretty well done brew that fits the style well. Recommended.

Tasted at Real Canadian Craft Beer Fest. Classically styled with a bit more body than some others Ive had. This one is pretty decent for the style.

A good, smoky porter. Dark chocolate, coffee, and wine. A good introductory porter and a good beer in general.

65 cl. Facile boire, simple, bien construite, tonnante.

Aroma 6+, Dont get a lot of smoke on this. Lots of roast. Any smoke is lost in the body. And, has a muted creamy nature. By no means bad. But, its just a whiff, and no smokier than many examples which dont advertise it. Very dark, almost opaque, just a bit of ruddy translucence. Head is short and just off white. Heavily roasted, but not bitter grain and malt. Cereal. Lots of chocolate, bread, and yeast. Hops are present and restrained. Residual sugars are a touch high, but not displeasing. Slight saline... maybe. Rounds out particularly clean. Decent.

Bizarre.

Pours dark and smooth and good creamy beige head. Aroma is nutty a little chocolate. Taste is mild, smoke is even milder.
