Bottle - Bacony smoked malts and some dark fruit. Jet black with a rich beige head. Roasted malts, burnt toast and some chocolate. Not much smoke in the taste, but still nice. Sammy (12346) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 9, 2013
Recent bottle from LCBO, 500 ml shared with Doug K. Very good smoked. The aroma, the taste, well balanced and creamy mouthfeel. jercraigs (10527) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 4, 2014
2014-08-01. Black body small beige head. 3+ Aroma has earthy vegetal smoke character over muted sweet dark malt. Lingering light smoke. Flavour is odd, mild smoke is pervasive. Average bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Did not care for it. Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto

Bottle, shared with Robbie. Dark reddish brown, nice smoky aroma, a little meaty, a little campfire, with underlying dark malts. The smoke is much more subdued on the palate, with simple roast taking over. Noticeably thin. JoeMcPhee (9427) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 22, 2013
Bottle from LCBO. Dark brown with ruby highlights. The nose is pretty nice - cocoa and chocolate with a touch of light smoke and some faint plummy fruitiness. A moderate bitterness on the finish but it has a lovely richness without being overly sweet. A little bit of soft roastiness with a touch of cola-like spiciness. The smoke intensifies a bit as it warms - but it comes across as a savoury sort of character rather than as an overtly smoky note. Pretty nice stuff though.

[6567-20140801] Bottle. Mild roasted meat and malt and fruity plum aroma. Slightly hazy, dark brown black body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Toasted grains and chocolatey dust flavour. Medium-full body. Good, easy to drink. (7/4/8/3/15) 3.7 czar (9158) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 24, 2014
(bottle conditioning issue) pours clear dark brown, ruby tint, with an abnormal tall and creamy light beige head, good retention and lacing. lightly smoked vanilla beans, milk chocolate, peppery berries, dry ironed molasses, roasted coffee beans - slightly ashy and metallic, chalk, touch of carbonic acid, bittering resin. foamy carbonation, light body, dry, lightly smoked and grassy-spicy finish. minus bottling issue, this would have been a nice gently smoked and tasty porter. solidfunk (9006) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - DEC 3, 2013
Pretty light porter. Smoked taste is a little sharp and unbalanced. The rest of the palate comes off light. Thick consistency with a light caramelized sweet malt at end. Soft carbonation. Pours black with good lasting head and lacing. Bottle from lcbo. blankboy (7702) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 3, 2013
[Draught at Mugshot Tavern.] Pours a deep amber-brown with an average size lasting frothy beige head. Aroma of toasted caramel malt, coffee, some chocolate, dark fruit and a hint of hops. No smoke to be found though. Flavour of toasted malt, some coffee, light smoke, a hint of vanilla, light lactic notes and roasty, lightly bitter finish. Average bodied. Pretty good Porter though not smoked enough for me. Radek Kliber (7369) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - MAY 6, 2016
