750mL flip-top big thanks to Ed5388. Beautiful glowing peach pour with rocky, meringue foam. Nose is beautiful sweet cream butter (Hill Farmstead house yeast), soft butterscotch, peaches&cream ice cream, juicy cantaloupe, whipped cream. As it warms, a flash of exotic/pithy tropical melon comes through (Motueka I assume). Taste is juicy, rich butterscotch is a flavor but not a density. Floats on the tongue with mega buoyancy. Super soft bitterness is not the main character here- juicy hops and tropical fruit are 90% with the remaining a soft bitterness. Soft and refreshing rather than abusive. Slick, soft butteriness on the palate is exactly what I am after. A big improvement over tannic astringency or chemical soap. Exactly the APA I was hoping this would be and much more. A perfect hop combo of some of my favorites, especially Amarillo. Wow. This is the entire purpose of the APA style- delicacy, bright hoppiness, refreshing body unlike IPAs which are bitter for no reason and heavy in mouthfeel. This is the session beer we all should be demanding. I will be dreaming of this beer. solidfunk (9734) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - JUL 30, 2012
This is probably the best beer I’ve ever had that’s this low in alcohol. Pours cloudy yellow with good lacing. Smells like hay and dirty farm hops. A little bit bitter, a little grassy. Very full palate. On tap at Farmhouse Tap and Grill. arminjewell (9728) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - SEP 5, 2012
Pour out of growler, thanks Steve! Nice hazy yellow orange pour with white head, aroma has notes of grass, pine, biscuit, some nice grapefruit, lemon, touch of pineapple, slight grass and floral notes. Taste is a mix of lemon grass, some biscuit, bread, hints of pineapple, mango, some slight orange and grapefruit peel, finishing fairly bitter, drinkable, really nice beer. czar (9613) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 27, 2012
bottle shared with VT and minderbinder. pours hazy bright golden with a nice white head, good retention, some lacing. fresh citrus, light pine, strawberry-like, spicy malts, peppery-yeast. crisp and breadied malts, hint of sweetness. soft carbonation, light body - oily mouthfeel, very nice citrusy yet herbal finish. very nice session ale. bytemesis (9510) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JUL 18, 2014
Growler thanks to 50belair! Pours cloudy golden, medium creamy off-white head with great staying power and nice lacing. Aroma is rich dank grapefruit, passionfruit, pine. Flavor is not quite up to aroma, but still nice, quite light sweet, light bitter, juicy, not harsh. Light body, soft on the palate, a bit watery.

750 ml swing top to pint from Hill Farmstead, filled 5/3 and enjoyed today (stamped best consumed by 5/11). Looks good for the style; a somewhat hazy lemony pineapple with foamy white head. Smells and tastes of fruity and bitter hops with a pleasantly bitter but clean medium light-bodied mouthfeel. Tasty and sessionable. nimbleprop (8949) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUN 21, 2014
2oz pour at the brewery. Pours a hazy light gold, with some thin white head. Nose packs a huge punch, bright chive and scallion and garlic scape, bright pine, perfume, herbs, grapefruit, lemon, floral, zesty. Very inviting. Flavor follows right along, big punchy citrus zest, bright onion patch, scallion, chive, scape, grapefruit zest, orange zest, even a little bit of lime, dried pine, only the faintest hint of sweetness to round things out. Dry, zesty finish. Incredible. Packs an incredible amount of flavors for a beer coming in at 4%. jredmond (8839) - New York, New York, USA - JUL 8, 2013
UPDATED: SEP 3, 2013 Draft at THE FESTIVAL 2013 in Maine with Andrew, Jay and Kramer. Pours a light golden body with nice white lacing. Aroma is soft citrus notes and light funk - definitely making the Simcoe and Amarillo "duet" apparent. Mouthfeel is super soft, light and fluffy - notes of funky citrus and very light pine. Very nice light American Pale ale - would be great to be able to session on this, but I will probably never see it again. radagast83 (8624) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - AUG 26, 2012
Poured from a growler thanks to starrdogg. Poured a really light golden yellow color with a fizzy look and a light white head. Some light malty character to it, some floral notes, and some grassy hop character. Flavor was light hops, with some malt character to it. Sessonable, but that’s about it.Hermod (8517) - Vantaa, FINLAND - MAY 12, 2016
At the risk of sounding like a jerk and getting a lot of flack, and while I love many of the beers from HF, methinks that this beer might not have such a high rating if not for the brewery. Perhaps it’s time for Shaun to secretly brew a few batches under a nom de plume brewery name and see if gets even half the praise some of these entries give.
warpigs. Pale golden color with a thin white head. Malty aroma, some light fruits, hops, floral notes. Quite typical English golden ale really. Hoppy citrusy, floral flavors.
