Anna (1902 - ? ) was our grandfather’s sister; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Honey Saison is crafted from American malted barley, European and American hops, Vermont wildflower honey, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Anna. 6.5% ALC/VOL 14º P Ingredients: Pale Malt, American and European Hops, Vermont Wildflower Honey, Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Pours clear gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Lemon and funk aromas. Soft with sweet and sour lemon upfront turning to mild pith and peel in the lasting finish.

On tap @ Brettfest 2017. The aroma has peppery saison yeast, light citrus, soft malts. Bit hazy, yellow-golden coloured beer with a medium, white head. The taste is light bitter, bit citric, funky, peppery, bit herbal. Very nice, more like a classical saison.

*1/18/2013 750ml bottle poured into a snifter A~glowing with honey, with a nice fluffy head. very pleasing to the eye. S~vinegar honey funk, peppery, and a little bit citrus. holy saison! T~delicious honey up front, with everything else you could ask for from a saison. little citrus, lemon/lime mixes with the honey very nicely. then a nice peppery delight on the finish. M~nice carbonation, creamy and yet oh so smooth. O~HF saisons are really amazing to me, i could drink this all day! heres to hunting for some of their others. cheers!

From the 750 ml. bottle dated 03-22-2017. It pours a nice looking foggy pale yellow with a tremendous foamy white head. The aroma immediately brings out a hay-like yeast profile, a bit of barnyard, and a dollop of honey. It does not smell as tart and sour as I expected. But that all changes in the flavor where the tart, zesty characters kick in big time with a mild to moderate sweetness on the end. The tartness does not end as abruptly as I thought it might.
