COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Arthur (1922-2005) was our grandfather’s youngest brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Saison is crafted from American malted barley, American and European hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Arthur. 6% Alc/Vol 13ºPlato

Hazy straw colour, oodles of foam, nice lacing. Smells tart, hoppy, spicy with some funk. Taste hoppy and spicy with a bit of funk, some resemblance to a traditional Saison. Easy drinking medium bodied and carbonated brew. Bottled April 26th 2017.

Keg @Uiltje Bar, Haarlem. 10-08-2017.
Traditional farmhouse ale.
Quite sour and bitter saison.
Pours little hazy pale gold with nice white head. Short head retention, little lacing. Tart citrusy nose, medium body, average carbonation, slick texture. Taste is quite tart, herbal, bitter.

Outstanding - the definite epitome of how you dreamed a saison to be. Tastes like the morning dew running off the barnyard haystack, with a clever bite at the end making you long for more...

boto (2261) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - AUG 20, 2017
750ml bottle: This one pours an opaque golden color. There was a bit of a frothy white head that dropped off rather quickly and leaves some lacing. Nice nose. Some tart lemon as well as a bit of a white grape/champagne air. A bit musty and earthy too. The taste is excellent. Tart lemon, champagne, earthy, maybe some sour apple too. Really an excellent brew!!

Fantastic bouquet of barnyard aromas in a cloudy yellow pour. Thanks Clark for the trade! This one sat in the fridge for about three months waiting to be unleashed. It reminds me of Cantillion in its slightly acidic earthiness in both palate and aroma. The white head upon pour had a hang time over a minute and left a ring. and legs. Taste of sour grapes plus hops. What fun!

Bottle pour. Pours a slightly cloudy golden amber. Beautiful crisp and light aroma, fresh cut grass, citrus, ocean. Awesome. Light bodied, a little weak. Medium sour flavor. Smooth finish, tiny bite. Great.

beer-yum (1825) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 11, 2017
Alluring tart aroma in a hazy yellow gold pour. Similarly tart taste with just a hint of spiciness in the body is both laid back and spot on. A deserved benchmark of the style.

fletchfighters (1546) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 6, 2017
cloudy straw yellow color. Bright white head that falls to a thin collar. Spotty lacing. Nose is citrus, funk, dough. Taste is pretty similar. A little more bread forward than citrus I though. Bright and zesty carbonation. Solid farmhouse
