COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Arthur (1922-2005) was our grandfather’s youngest brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Saison is crafted from American malted barley, American and European hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Arthur. 6% Alc/Vol 13ºPlato

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2011 Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of wheat, light banana, citrus, lemon, saison yeast, slight spices, slight coriander, clove, and some grass. Poured yellow/gold/amber in color with a small, creamy, white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Lightly sparkling. Opaque. Some small particles throughout. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of saison yeast, citrus, light wheat, grain, light spices, clove, light coriander, light bubblegum, and some caramel. Light to medium body. Lightly dry, lightly sticky body. Average texture. Saison yeast, light citrus, clove, coriander, light spice, wheat, and grain finish is dry.

Hazy light gold pour, light off-white head Aroma is slightly biotic, some white grape juice. Flavor is both fruity and sour, fruity aspects reminds me of scuppernong grapes with the sourness reminiscent of Sweet Tarts candy and a hint of vinegar. Nice puckerable qualities. Nice textured mouthfeel with the right amount of spritz. Thanks to Jame for the bottle share at Proof.

Misty blonde, small white head. Wine bottle, OK label. Biotic, slightly tart aroma - quite nice. A little tart, understated, not bitter. Lightish body, light effervescence. Solid. Thanks to Jme down at Proof.

Brewiety delivered. Pours a bountiful, white, foamy head. Color is bright straw with nice clarity. Nice foamy drape. The last 4 oz of pour clouds it up nice and hazy. Foamy to effervescent mouthfeel. Some tartness up front, light sour notes, lime, white wine, some cider qualities and very faint phenolics, but a very pleasant farmhouse yeast. This is what I like my saisons to taste like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy straw colour, oodles of foam, nice lacing. Smells tart, hoppy, spicy with some funk. Taste hoppy and spicy with a bit of funk, some resemblance to a traditional Saison. Easy drinking medium bodied and carbonated brew. Bottled April 26th 2017.

Traditional farmhouse ale.
Quite sour and bitter saison.
Pours little hazy pale gold with nice white head. Short head retention, little lacing. Tart citrusy nose, medium body, average carbonation, slick texture. Taste is quite tart, herbal, bitter.

Outstanding - the definite epitome of how you dreamed a saison to be. Tastes like the morning dew running off the barnyard haystack, with a clever bite at the end making you long for more...

750ml bottle: This one pours an opaque golden color. There was a bit of a frothy white head that dropped off rather quickly and leaves some lacing. Nice nose. Some tart lemon as well as a bit of a white grape/champagne air. A bit musty and earthy too. The taste is excellent. Tart lemon, champagne, earthy, maybe some sour apple too. Really an excellent brew!!
