UPDATED: APR 2, 2018 Bottle shared with Tom. Opaque black pour with thin ring of white foam. Aroma is very intense, super boozy, rich chocolate, maple, bourbon, licorice, cocoa. Taste is rich, very sweet, tons of bourbon, maple, booze, roasty finish. Palate is med full bodied, quite warm, light carbonation. Tasty, but a bit intense. 375ml 2017 bottle drank at home with brother a few weeks ago. Aroma: maple syrup, vanilla, chocolate. App: dark brown with minimal beige head leaving little lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, high sweetness, sweet with subtle acidity finish. Overall: good beer. A bit (way) too sweet for me though. Still enjoyed the maple and bourbon notes. Would probably benefit some aging on it. Good. skrip (230) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 3, 2017
750ml growler poured into a Lambic.info geuze tumbler.
A~ black with a dark tan fluffy head and a little lacing.
S~ mostly extremely sweet maple syrup followed by a little roasted malt.
T~ follows the nose way less roasted malt here... sweet as could be with slight vanilla and charred oak from the bourbon.
M~ extremely clawing and syrupy. slight carb.
O~ its like drinking the HF BA maple syrup straight... and i should know! i’ve done that plenty of times haha! while it is delicious i like some beer in my beer... i would have been happier putting this on some waffles haha wombat23 (2248) - Texas, USA - JUN 30, 2017

Clear dark brown beer, creamy beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet lots of vanilla, bourbon, soft roast, lots of dark chocolate, smells great! MF: no carbon, full body. Taste: very sweet, sugary, bourbon, vanilla, bit sugary, quite some alcohol, caramel, more vanilla. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, sugary, vanilla, caramel, some molasses, dried fruits.
750 ml. growler @ "Adam Chandler Visiting (for real this time)" Tasting. Filled sometime in December 206 I believe. Meant to be cellared max 2 weeks. Mainly because the amount of sugar in this which might have cause it to exposed. No one was harmed. Black with almost no head; Nose is mellow umami, surprisingly big hazelnut, roasted notes, big sugar, sweet, not overly so. Taste is sweet maple, sugar, big pralines, slightly umami, chocolate syrup, hazelnut, faintly boozy. Low carbonation molasses & pralines body. Very neat stuff, could use bit more depth for me, slightly less umami, nice stuff all the same. Thanks to Marina for making vegan Magnum ice-cream coated with this beer. Amazing stuff. 750 ml growler. Pitch black, no head. Aroma is maple, chocolate, mild roast. The flavor is decadent. Deep maple throughout... Dark chocolate, mild roast. Ernesto987 (6015) - Arizona, USA - FEB 3, 2017
Full body, creamy texture. Mild sugar. Sweet not overly but.... Very sweet without doubt.
Damn daniel. This maple syrup in this is rich and delicious, a thick roasty stout with a berfect balance to the maple syrup. Laser show. hopscotch (11557) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 30, 2017
Growler... Pours dark brown with no head, but the high viscosity brew fully coats the insides of my glass. The aroma features brownies and bourbon. Not much maple syrup here. Medium to full-bodied with a sticky mouthfeel and tickling. The flavor is sweet, lightly boozy and toasty. A touch nutty in the finish. A nice sipper. Bottle courtesy of the south Florida crew!
