Draft Three Penny Tap Room. Perfect looking unfiltered gold with thick, foamy head. Retention the entire way down. Great nose, smells of bags and bags of wet fresh hops, intense fruit (citrus grapefruit and lemon)
Taste is much the same with a hearty bread malt as the backbone. Medium in body with amazingly drinkable. Drinks like an easy Pale ale. Not in your face over the top. But it is in your face... If that make any sense. I don’t realize it was over 9% ABV until I was finished with the glass. So flavorful I finished it rather quickly.
The finish is dry bitterness and lingers for a good amount after. Find this on draft. They hit a home run with this DIPA! AdamChandler (5113) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 7, 2012
On tap at Three Penny Taproom. Paid $8 and served in a wine goblet. Freaking gorgeous beer! Insanely cloudy and bright orange appearance. 3 finger head solid white. Fades slowly to a single finger with amazingly perfect head lacing. It looks like a freakinf creamsicle. Columbus and Citra. Pine and grapefruit. Lemon and champagne. Light level of tannins.
Okay. I knew Shaun had an imperial IPA in him. I had no idea it would be this remarkable. Gigantic grapefruit taste. Lemon peels and pine resin at the finish. The taste is gigantic but the mouthfeel is light and airy. Floral and a bit of cedar but very light. High carbonation at 90% on the mouth swish. If you can find this beer, grab a bottle.

Draft at CCB. Pours a cloudy, glowing, slightly dusky orange-amber body. A short, dissipating head of off-whie foam leaves scant flares of lacing behind. The nose is biting and sharp, showing pungent, dank grassiness with layers of pine resin and grapefruit rind. Underlying malts show clean cereal and lightly toasted bread. It’s a little boozy, but otherwise smells damn nice. The flavor is like a full-on hop onslaught, super bitter and biting, loaded with sharp pine resin and lingering, pithy grapefruit oils. Can’t forget the grass. Bitterness lingers well after the swallow, coating the roof of the mouth. The palate is nearly full, yet surprisingly drying and astringent. Very good IIPA, but ultimately a little strong for my tastes these days. OmegaX (1375) - Florida, USA - JUL 1, 2012
Crazy. On tap at 7venth Sun. Last glass before it kicked! Woah, there’s a ton of tropical fruit and citrus aromas in the hops on this one. A nice amount of well water/very fresh hop aroma. Awesome! Orange body, white head. Flavors are similar with tons of citrus and some tropical fruit. Very balanced. Caramel malt and hops are even in taste. Slightly sweet up front but a dry finish. NO alcohol present at all. Crazy good. TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 1, 2012
On tap at Teresa’s. Cloudy yellow orange with a white head. Nose is quite skunky but in a good way like fresh bud. Citrus pith, orange and grass but not a lot of sweetness. Medium body with a tingle. Taste is peach, pineapple, citrus and caramel finishing bitter and grassy. This was spectacular rivaling my favorites from 3F and RR but more drinkable especially at 9.2%.

On tap at TND with Pat, pours a cloudy straw orange, small white hjead, awesome lacing. Aromas and taste of pineapple, piney hops, lightly roasted grains, pineapple, caramel malt, bitter somewhat dry finish. Easy going for 9.2%. All around amazing beer. adrian910ss (2588) - Doylestown, PA, USA - JUN 30, 2012
On draft at TND. Pours a cloudy gold color with a medium sized white head. Aroma of fresh hops, grapefruit, oranges and tropical fruit. Taste of fresh bitter hops, grapefruit, oranges and tropical fruit. Slight caramel malty backbone. Excellent. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 30, 2012
Draught at TND: Aroma of hops, citrus, lemon, orange, and grapefruit.
Poured dark yellow/very light orange in color with a small, white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Cloudy. Not sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and heavily bitter. Tastes of hops, citrus, grapefruit, slight pine, slight resin, and a hint of grains. Medium body. Dry texture. Slightly sweet, medium bitter, hop, citrus, slight pine, finish is dry. 9.2%ABV is completely hidden throughout. Macegan75 (846) - Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 29, 2012
Draft at Railroad, pours an opaque light golden yellow. nose is pineapple, sweet cotton candy and lime. finish is bitter deliciousness. awesome Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 29, 2012
Pours thick lemon honey in color with a decent tan head. The aroma is sweet lemon citrus, soft but present hops. The body is velvety soft as these 2 breweries do so well! The flavor of lemon citrus hops comes in nicely on the beautiful body with a nice earthy green hop profile.
