On draft, poured a hazy yellow color, aromas of mostly tropical fruits, and citrus, light bready aromas as well. Flavors are majority of tropical fruits, some citrus, light banana, refreshing overall, very drinkable for the high ABV%. hbmason (1086) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - MAR 7, 2012
On draft pour. Yellow/goldishish color with a decent white hrad. Sweet and hoppy. Nice double ipa but a hair on the sweet side. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 20, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2015 In short: A highly aromatic, sharp and refreshing fruity blonde IIPA. Excellent and too easy to drinkj12601 (13036) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - FEB 6, 2012
How: Tap at Hill Farmstead brewery.
The look: Cloudy yellow-blonde body topped by a medium white head with medium retention
In long: Nose is bursting with tropical fruits and some citrus fruits. I suspect many of those new recent breed of hops that generate those powerful tropical fruit esters and also probably some Citra because I noted some cat urine too. Taste has the typical blonde IPA malt backbone that provides a solid body but with a bready and crackery character that leaves all dance floor for the hops. Plenty of fruitiness with bitter grapefruits, bright citrus fruits, various tropical fruits, even some bananas. Also lemongrass. Bitterness is sharp and there are citric undertones in the finish. Very refreshing and dangerously easy to drink for a 9% beer. Excellent beer. So far Hill Farmstead and Cigar City collaborations have been named ‘Or’, ‘Neither’ and ‘Nor’, I find those synonyms and antonyms very confusing and I can’t understand why the antonym for antonym is synonym but the synonym for synonym is not antonym. It’s stuff like that that keep me up at night.
On tap at Lord Hobo prior to EBF and NOTB. Pours an opaquely hazed golden amber, with a soft small white head. Big bright citrus on the nose, sweet and slightly resinous and dank. Lemony and grassy. Medium bodied, sweet citrus, thick with earthy citrus and big pithy grapefruit. Long grapefruit filled finish, sticky and lingering. Nicely balanced.

Swing top growler courtesy of yourefragile. Served in a SAVOR wine glass.
Pours a hazy light apricot color with a good white head and a bit of lacing on the way down. The nose carries plenty of tropical fruit and orange. Light sweetness in the flavor as well. Great fruit character. Medium body and a nice bitterness to the finish. Really solid brew. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2012
A Sim rate (on tap at Lord Hobo): Piney, spicy aroma. Bit citric. Bitter, butter and citrus flavour that really packs a punch. Nice stuff but a bit too over the top on the IBUs. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 22, 2011
On draft at Cigar City. Pours a murky yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is all manner of citrus with some notes of tropical fruit. I get lemon, orange, big sweet malt, peach, apricot, and absolutely no trace of alcohol. Flavor is a plethora of citrus and tropical fruit- orange, peach, apricot, kumquat, loquat, lemon, and caramel malt. Easy on the palate for such a citrus assault and less of a trace of alcohol than the nose. Outstanding DIPA. JohnnyJ (5569) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 18, 2011
Sample from bottle. Slightly hazy yellow/light orange, with white head. Citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, bitter hops, caramel malt, light sweetness, and slightly piney and bitter. A very well done IIPA. boFNjackson (4201) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 12, 2011
750ml Growler shared at a recent RB/BA birthday tasting... A pale golden pour with a thick white head. Amazingly so much hop flavor here and very little astringent bitterness. Full bodied, oily and pepper spiced characters. Quite resinous in the hops with light fruits and grapefruit citrus.
