750 ml bottle shared by Kan. Thanks, dude! Pours a richer blackish pour, good darker body with no real light. Perhaps a touch of brown on the edges. A cakey chocolate milk head is moderate sized, sits around firmly, laces well. Aromas are cocoa, oak, and gentle spice. Some gentle smoke, banana, some estery fruit, gentle yeast. Cocoa, sweet fruits, toast and toffee. Some cocoa, touches of oak, firm hopping is citrusy, fruity, and floral. Great rich aromas, a bit sweet and some candylike Smarties. Vanilla, oak, and darkness, fruity elements. Initial is a touch tart, dry, and fruit. Some fruit, a bit toasty and dry into the middle. Darker malts, some fruity esters, with cocoa and dryness hit the palate at odd times. Tart and fruit through the middle, firm terroir and wild yeast elements, rich oak. Good tartness and fruit from middle into backend. Dry and oaky, vanilla, light tannic feel. Finish is tart, tannic, gentle almost white wine feel. Good gentle smokiness lingers with tartness, fruit, dry tannic barrel. Pretty fun blend that seems to offer a lot of flavors. Some popcorn on the backend and finish, dry gentle cocoa, smoke, yeasty funk and dryness. Some richer oak, tartness. Complex, but overall a bit odd and overwhelming at times. Nice beer. Bottle shared by Kan. Thanks! Pours a deep brown with an offwhite head. Nose is somewhat tart, fruity notes. Some apple and citrus, white pepper and earthy malt. Rye bread. On tasting, it comes off as somewhat generic overall. Dark malt comes through, moderate acidic tartness as well. Clean overall but the dark malts seem to obstruct this from really coming together. Still looking for a solid dark saison. michcam8 (565) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 21, 2012
Thanks to Adam for this bottle...black in color, lively carbination, dark brown fluffy head. Lot’s of lacing left on the glass. Aroma is wonderful, banana’s, oak, leather, dough, cereal. Creamy mouthful, medium body. Taste is a bit tart, sour, doughy, some malts, smokey, and tingy. Stays with the palate for a while, while the sourness really comes through. No detection of alcohol. Very interesting beer. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 21, 2012
Pours dark brown with creamy tan head. Aroma spicy yeasty, dark fruit, meaty, peppery. Flavors spicy meaty, toffee, real dried out. Tingly finish. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 21, 2012
750ml bottle. Much thanks to Wally for this... Pours a deeper cola hue with lesser intense edges, revealing more reddish brown undertones, and topped with a fluffy pillowy light beige head... Light pillowy fluffiness that exhibits with cocoa, Brett, light roast and a mild tartness. Cocoa and Brett predominantly with a light degree if smoke... Little smoke and roasty undertones upfront to pair up with a more dominantly tart saison stylistically. Light fluffy bodied with semi-lively carbonation. Pillowy and lighter bodied it seems. Enjoyed this moreso than originally had back in September. Light mostly tart saison with a dark malty presence.

75 cl bottle. Black pour with a small brown head. Aroma is citrusy brett notes, hops, a herbal estery note, pretty farmhousey. A slight toasted malt presence with a hint og liquorice, but over-all pretty yeast and brett forward. This tastes awesome! Funky brett and farmhouse yeast up front, the brett makes it very dry and citrusy. A hint of chocolate and liquorice with a lightly bitter and very funky finish. Awesome! Black pour, white head with lots of lacing. Aroma of cherries, roasted malt, so much oak, winey. Taste is sour, tons of oak, charred wood, slightly smokey. Palate is dry, good carb, long lingering finish. stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - NOV 30, 2012
Pours a clear and dark brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, tart, fruit and brett. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness with some bitterness. Overall a really good beer. madvike (3264) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 23, 2012
Bottle from hbmason...thanks Tim! Pours black with a thin light tan head. Nose is like a lightly sour stout, a touch of vinegar with a chocolately malt base. Taste has a bit of vinegar, medium roast, baking spice, and a long medium tart finish with citrus rind. Smooth and medium bodied with ample carbonation. reggiedunlop (3725) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 18, 2012
