*5/2/2014 375ml bottle poured into a Hill Farmstead taster tulip. A~ glowing darker orange with a small light head and no lacing. S~ orange, grapefruit, mango and lemon up front followed by a lot of hop presence, surprisingly. T~ pretty much follows the nose more brett funk here and lemony tartness. taste more like citrus from hops rather than actual fruit, really nice though! M~ rather dry from the hops. still very refreshing, nicely carbonated and smooth! O~ pretty much tastes like a slightly altered E. with more lacto funk and different fruit aspects. i really wish they would tell us exactly whats in it but i’m gonna guess its mostly E. a great brew for a great spring day! heres to keeping the series going!

37,5cl bottle shared by a friend. slight gusher. poured a hazy orange colour with a stable white head on top. nose is sweet tropicalfruits, lots of citrus and lime notes, bitter grapefruit, a complexity of mainly citrus fruits, white wine, and slight bitter graoeskin, minerals, floral, barnyard, and slight dried stone fruits in the finish. tasty brew for sure. but for hill farmsteads standard not that special imo

375 mL bottle poured into a snifter. Originally reviewed 6/10/2014. Hazy deep orange. Small white head. A little leggy with some lacing. Orange and grassy hop aroma. Light acidity. White wine. Taste is very hoppy. Orange and grassy hops. White wine is much sharper. Oak. Tartness builds and dies off quickly. Medium light body. Well carbonated. Reminiscent of Juicy. I like the wine barrel and level of hoppiness.

Bottle. Quite explosive so be careful...cloudy orange with an off white film. Epson salts, minirally, pepper, lemon, extra dry, leather and some hay, mixed mild citrus, moderate carbonation and strong body, some chardonnay and an acidic ending.

Drank on my birthday last year. From the backlog. Hazy peach pour. Pineapples, zebra stripe gum (you know what I’m talking about!), peach nectar, and really vibrant lactic acidity. Cheese cloth brett. Perfume and orchids. Guava, passion fruit, mango. Lots going on with this one. Like a antelope in the Sahara- getting attacked by lions from multiple angles. Except the lions are delicious. If I had more, I would drink it until I became fat.

After drinking CD12 this beer reinstilled my faith in this series. Poured into a tulip glass a hazy pale peach color with light white head. Aroma is stone fruit, oaky vanilla, honey, citrus, and light white wine. Taste is moderate tartness and tons of stone fruit. Really a joy to drink this.

Bottle: Poured a hazy golden color ale with a medium white head with light retention. Aroma of funky yeast with vinous notes is quite interesting. Taste is a mix of vinous notes with some citrusy notes and some barnyard notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. I really enjoyed the barnyard notes in this one but I would prefer it even more if the acidity was more subdued.

bottle thanks to Matt, thanks! Aroma, lightly subdued fresh malts, grapefruit, currants, tangerines. Pours a light gold with a merange white head. Taste is simply amazing, this is a nuance blend, not so much in your face but the incredible compexity is there between citrus fruits, leathery musty basement flavors and brett. Perfect balance. One of the best beers, I love these barrel aged saisons man. Completely lapping the rest of the field. Hopefully that is enough so that the tyrant AKA Adam Jackson won’t delete this.

Bottle thanks to Mike. Pours a hazy orange with small white head that lasts. The aroma is brett and tropical fruit. Thin mouth, juicy tropical fruit, light funk, tart, brett, really nice.
