Clara (1906-1969) was our grandfathers sister; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Grisette is crafted from American malted barley, Vermont Organic Wheat, European and American hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Clara. 4% ALC/VOL 9 P Ingredients: Pale Malt, Organic Vermont Wheat, American and European Hops, Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Fresh bottle at home. This is a really simple, 4% beer that allows that Hill Farmstead yeast and water combination to really shine through. The base malt is slightly grainy and light, but theres so much flavor from the yeast esters that it tastes like its an 8% beer. Fantastic.

Poured from a bottle into a sample glass: Pours hazy straw with a small white head. Aroma of bread, lemons, pepper, and funky yeast. Taste more of the same, very light, lightly tart, really drinkable but not the best griz Ive had.
