COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Clara (1906-1969) was our grandfather’s sister; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Grisette is crafted from American malted barley, Vermont Organic Wheat, European and American hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Clara. 4% ALC/VOL 9º P Ingredients: Pale Malt, Organic Vermont Wheat, American and European Hops, Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Draught at WarPigs Brewpub, Hill Farmstead Day. Clear dark golden in body colour, filmy layer, dotted spots on the glass. Bread and mid-tart fruits on the nose. Mixed taste of bread-like malts and yeasty fruitiness. Drying, mid-tart ending. Medium to thin bodied. Easy to drink and quite nice (shared with KimJohansen and Skinnyviking, Copenhagen 12.05.2016).

On tap at Warpigs, pre-CBC. Clear pale yellow with almost no head. Smells like a lambic, slightly tart and diluted. Sour and pretty refreshing.

Pours a cloudy gold with a profuse carbonation and short lived white head. Nose is zesty and peppery with a light acidity and fruity notes. Bright acidity and zesty citrus with a dry finish and light body.

Bottle. Willey’s Store, Greensboro, VT. Very hazy, straw colour. Streams of fine bubbles. Thick, dense, glossy topped, sticky, white head. Looks great. Nose has lemon meringue. Yeasty, bready malts. Some pithy hop. Notes of vanilla biscuit. Fresh and bright. Taste is light, yeasty dry. Some lip sticking sweetness. Clean, light, zesty mouthfeel. A little thin, maybe. Finishes with a soft, clean, gooseberry, tangy bitterness.

Hazy orange with a medium sized white head. Aroma is fruity, some lemon, lime zest, grapes, slight herbal and spicy. Taste is light sweet, tart citrusy with a refreshing finish, lemon juice, lime zest, some herbal notes, typical HF funk. Light to medium bodied, soft to medium bodied.
Very good!
