4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pour from a bottle thanks to Kan! Pitch black color with a thin tan head. Aromas of coffee, cocoa, anise, and dark fruit. Velvety smooth on you palate. Flavors of bourbon, oak, vanilla, and dark chocolate. Long finish.
Aroma of bourbon, oak, heavy molasses, plum. Pour is jet black with brown creamy head that disappears quickly. Taste is sweet, not overwhelmingly so. Similar case as the aroma, little bit of coffee bitterness at the end. Kind of oily, very thick. Truly a chewable drink gregwilsonstl (2704) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 31, 2017

500ml batch 2 bottle poured into a Cigar City snifter.
A~ dark as night with a tiny dark brown head and a good amount of lacing. i only gave it a slightly lower score because of how small the head was but that definitely doesn’t affect the mouthfeel.
S~ a good amount of booze on the nose followed by a lot of roasted bitter chocolate. a little vanilla, caramel, and burnt coffee come out here as well.
T~ not nearly as boozy as the scent would make you think. super complex bourbon up front. you can pretty much tell that it was a blend of Buffalo Trace and Pappy. the "Pappy effect" totally comes out here. as it gets warmer its transforms into another incredible (bourbon)/beer. lots of roasted dark chocolate smashes your pallet followed by an extremely nice coffee flavor. leaving you with a thick vanilla extract and molasses after taste.
M~ super thick motor oily goodness! nice carbonation, not what i was expecting from the look of things. surprisingly super drinkable!
O~ my perfect bourbon stout, i know i’m gonna crave this one. glad i have a few more bottles. the complexity of the 2 bourbons is really outstanding. i can’t compare this to batch 1 but if it was anywhere near as good when it came out i can only imagine how its tasting now. this to me is like an imperial version of BA Earl with a tad less coffee. which was 10x better then KBS in my opinion. so you can only imagine how incredible this is all around! wombat23 (2129) - Texas, USA - JUN 30, 2017

Pours a viscous black with a tan head. Aroma of vanilla fudge, oak and a light bourbon. Tons of chocolate. Thick mouthfeel. Semi sweet. God nectar. Light barrel presence. Wow.
Bottle. Pours a pitch black beer with a very small ring of beige head on top. Aroma has lots of bourbon and chocolate, oak, molasses, touch of booze, syrup. Flavor is very sweet, lots of bourbon, lots of booze. Very sugary, nice aging going on. The flavor is full, darker chocolate and awesome in balance. Aftertaste is long and sweet. Great stuff. fiery1 (1793) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 22, 2017

750ml bottle shared by Theydon_Bois @Ma che siete venuti a fà (thanks Colin!). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, bella schiuma color cappuccino, molto persistente. Note di cioccolata fondente, melassa, note legnose, finale amarognolo appena caffettoso, alcol non pervenuto. Imperial Stout sopraffina, di classe straordinaria.
