COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Earl (1911-1985) was our grandfathers brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Stout is crafted from American malted barley, Flaked Oats, English roasted malts, American hops, Organic Guatemalan Coffee, our ale yeast, and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated. A silhouette of coffee and malt - an embodiment of complexity and drinkability, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Earl. 7.2% ALC/VOL 18 P Ingredients: Pale, Caramel, and Chocolate Malt, Roasted Barley, Columbus hops; Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

A bit of caramel but more bitter, toasty. Initial is medium bodied, a touch more full. Toasty, roasty, caramelized yet creamy. Bitter yet flavorful. An espresso, cocoa dusting. Caramel, a touch ofcoretzel. Firm body yet the nature occur roast and bitter flow, creamy middle seem to make it fliw realltbnicelt. Real nice stuff.

Bottle to chalice. Oily jet black with a short lived brown head. Nose is slight char, little vanilla, hint of coffee. Palate is delicately balanced coffee, caramel, maybe a little marshmallow sugary sweetness. Mouth feel is an interesting experience starting smooth and creamy, penetrated by a fine carb, finishing warm and pleasantly boozy. Sticky lips. Wow, now I understand what a stout should be.

Trs bien.

Bardzo prosty, lekki, pijalny Stout z mega fajnym profilem kawy. Świetna paloność, długi, bogaty w gorzką czekoladę finisz. Mgłbym pić szklankami.

500ml bottle purchased at Hill Farmstead. Pours black with a big, thick mocha head with frothy micro bubbles leaving huge lacing. Smells like straight coffee, espresso beans, smooth oats and malted barley. Tastes like smooth quality coffee, roasted barley. Delicious. Great full, carbonated mouthfeel. Another banger from Hill. Good Job.
