Thanks Sam Lee. Pours a hazy gold, white head. So this one is good. But the Satsuma addition has taken away from what is probably one of the best beers in the saison category that I have hever had. The Satsuma muddles it. Takes away from the crisp and clean flavors. Its still good, but I would never choose this over regular Flora. brystmar (1314) - Dallas, Texas, USA - NOV 8, 2013
Boring gold pour with virtually zero head. Totally out of character for HF. Turns a hazy yellow color with a splash of yeast. Emboldened mandarin aroma with this addition. pantanap (3366) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 3, 2013
Puckering, fruity, oaky, citrus galore, so nicely balanced. Improves significantly as it warms and with yeast. Oaky character didn't even show up until the bottom 20% of the bottle. Perfect amount of citrus and pucker. Excellent.
375ml bottle... Pours a very pale grassy pilsner like hue and topped with a thin creamy white head... Oaky wine barrel presence with a touch of vanilla followed up with a mandarine orange finish. Splendid... More of the same in terms of the flavor with more of a pronounced tart sourness with white wine grapes and more of that mandarine orange goodness. Sour semi-dry finish. Very nice.

Bottle, generously shared by quackus42, 10/18/2013. Pours a pale cloudy golden straw color, thin layer of hazy foam on the surface. Aroma is wheat, pulpy orange with soft barnyard notes, sharper orange concentrate coming through, citrus as well. Taste is sharp tangerine, wheat undertones, lingering citrus, brett, oak on the tongue. Light, bright body, creamy. Delicious. PhillyCraft (7715) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 24, 2013
Bottle shared with and compliments of Alan, thanks man. Pours a light hazy gold color with small white head, went away immediately. Aromas of heavy oak, lemons, barnyard blanket, tangerine, mandarin orange funk, Cali orange bud, and white vino. Flavor is insanely bright and juicy with mandarin, sour peach, and grapefruit zest working together with the horse funk, oak, and earthiness. Light to medium body. Another gem from HF.

375ml bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of oranges, tartness and sourness, oak and wine, some wheat and pale malts, and light fruits. Flavor a great blend of oranges and the wine and sour/funky notes. Average to smooth texture. Another great HF beer. Reynolds314 (3470) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 20, 2013
Pours a golden orange with no head. Aroma is funky lactic and basementy with some sharp citrus/orange. The orange is less prevalent on the taste but a sharp citric acidity is present. Really nice beer but not quite as good as regular Flora. MartinT (10037) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 18, 2013
My Bottom Line:Huhzubendah (3736) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 16, 2013
Dry as the desert, this citrusy and tart Saison evokes summer-y flavorscapes amongst the gentle prickling of natural carbonation.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam clings to the sides of the glass around the misty pale gold.
-The nose is not as complex as their Arthur’s, or many of their other Saisons for that matter.
-A touch of wood adds depth.
-Brettanomyces flavors are well leveled with the rest of the brew’s talkative profile.
-Salt crackers are perceived in the aroma.
The beer is clear and pale yellow with a soft white head. The aroma offers lemons, funk, oranges, tangerines, floral notes, oak, white wine. The flavor is beautifully balanced. What an elegant beer. Simply terrific. Sweet, fresh oranges complimented by delicate tartness and light funk. So smooth and easy to drink. A fantastic beer.

Bottle. Clear pale gold pour with no head. Aroma is quite fruity, nice light citrus aroma, fruit salad, sour wheat notes, tons of white wine, oaky. Taste is tart with a mild fruity sweetness, light orange-ish flavors, again quite reminiscent of white wine. Palate is dry, light carbonation. Very easy drinking.
