Bottle from gnosis.. thanks.. Bottle back to back with Arthur.. Pour is paler yellow with same 3 finger head. A bit clearer than the Arthur. Lemon, pepper, cloves, sage on the nose..a bit more herbal and lighter smelling. Wow.. buckwheat, honey, citrus, mint. More carbonated and less tart than the Arthur. Same creamy feel but slightly crisper. Prefer the Arthur’s tartness but the Florence nose.
Draught at Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade.
Hazy golden coloured with a small white head.’
Fruity aroma of flowers and citrus with notes of vanilla and acidic notes.
Fruity flavour of citrus with notes of flowers and acidic notes.
Tart finish. skrip (188) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 2, 2017
750ml bottle poured into a Mother Earth stange.
A~ light glowing neon yellow/green with minimal white head.
S~ wheat and a lot of herbs/spices. thyme, sage, etc...
T~ peppery wheaty spices with a tad bit of funk. exactly what i look for in a saison, just a little lighter than i would like it to be. definitely a little bitterness as well
M~ great mouthfeel almost like champaign, with a carbonation that sizzles all the way down.
O~ as i continue to review HF it just seems to get better, definitely an all around great saison with amazing flavor. not a must from them but if you’re into their saisons/wilds definitely give it a try.
wow the newest batch is incredible! its been a while since i’ve had this brew, it has definitely improved. more barrel aging for sure, some serious funk going on. tricksta_p (4654) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - JUN 24, 2017

750 ml bottle to snifter (bottled 12/14/2016; shared with the Mrs.). Looks good for the style; a hazy lemon with fizzy white head that dissipates into virtually no lacing fairly quickly. Smells tart, wheaty, and mildly funky with a soft grassy and citrus hop presence. Tastes like it smells, but a bit more tart. Mouthfeel is medium-light to medium-bodied and pleasant. Tasty, and a great example of the style. caesar (7153) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - JUN 4, 2017
Bottle @ Potjepalooza, 10 cl sample. Slight hazy golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of slight funk, bit citrus, soft tartness. Bit sour in taste, grainy wheat. Reminded me of the Crooked Stave funky witbiers. Lovely. ShivanDragon (4120) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - JUN 4, 2017
Bottle, shared @ Potjepalooza. golden/yellow with a white head. aroma is fresh, sour, straw, wheat, grain, brett, wood. Taste has a nice sourness, some wood, straw, hay, grass, herbal, barnyard-ish, citrus, medium body, well i must say a Saison isn’t my preferable style, however this was a nice one. Bottle at potjepalooza. Golden pour. Aroma of brett, funky barnyard, citrus and hops. Taste has brett, funk, citrus, horseblanket, hop and a soft wheaty tart finish. Elegant and tasty. Borresteijn (7057) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 3, 2017
75cl Bottle sample at Potjepalooza. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of raw wheat, light funky, hint of citrus. Flavour of wheat, light grainy, light funky, it’s nice but really not much to it, more like a light funky Wit. Light bodied.
