500ml bottle poured into a Hill Farmstead fest. glass.
A~ dark as night with a nice tan head and no lacing at all!
S~ tons of coffee, chocolate, cocoa, caramel! and slight green pepper...
T~ just like a latte! pretty much follows the nose with a little booze here. a lot of vanilla and slight black pepper on the back end but no green pepper!
M~ extremely silky! nice carb and lingers for a long time!
O~ if the flavor was a little more balanced and it didn’t have the slight green pepper thing going on this would be perfect! still a very solid stout! i’m excited to see what barrels this batch goes in =] Tmoney99 (14866) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 14, 2017
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate and coffee aroma. Abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted sweet flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My high expectations where met with a standout beer. alexsdad06 (10672) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - MAY 21, 2017
500 ml bottle shared with Tmoney99 and the Nine Giant crew. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, earthy bitterness, caramel, heavier than I expected from the wheat malt base, light earthy notes, very solid as usual. Rating #3,300. 500 mL bottle shared with ebone1988. The pour is a slightly thin black with thick khaki colored head and a couple spots of lace. The aroma is thick and roasty with a light chocolate and a profound robust bitterness. It’s really interesting. The flavor is much of the same. The robustness is just huge with a bitter licorice and chocolate that ligers from front to back. It’s good. There is a little bit of a light sweetness as it warms, I like it. The mouth feel is a touch thin with a soft carbonation and a lingeringly bitter roast with a touch of sweet chocolate. Not bad. ebone1988 (2080) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - APR 30, 2017

500 ml bottle at home with big thanks to Mike!!! Black color with beige brown head. roasted malty aroma, lots of coffee, chocolate, dark chocolate, cocoa, licorice, dark dried fruits. Sweet and bitter like aroma but even better with some vanilla and woody-smoked notes addition. Full silky oily to creamy body with soft carbonation. anstei (2510) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - JAN 29, 2017
Bottle at RBBest. Pours viscous dark brown, thick and oily. Aroma is toasted caramel, chocolate, coffee. Super heavy oily sweet body, thick and juicy. Long sweet palate. Very impressive!
