Bottle thanks to Fitz. Pours brown with a small off white head. Aroma is very simple, basic, some malt and doughiness, herbal and a touch piney and citric hop note. Flavor is much more sweet, strong malt character, bready and caramel before a stronger hop finish. Medium body and a sharp carbonation. Good for a style that Im not too big on.
750ml growler poured into a Hill Farmstead oversized wine glass.
A~ dark brown with a slight tan head and a tiny bit of lacing.
S~ roasty caramel, hazelnut, a little coffe, and some bready yeast on the finish.
T~ pretty much follows the nose exactly which is very rare haha definitely a lot of caramel here and hop bitterness on the finish.
M~ creamy caramel feel, with very nice carbonation. smooth and rich!
O~ very all around well balanced brown. if you’re in the mood for a brown you really can’t go wrong here! Prufrockstar (2132) - Moscow, Idaho, USA - JUN 1, 2017

Shared 750ml growler. Dark amber-brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, nuts. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, hints of chocolate, hazelnut, earth. Excellent. darbeer75 (902) - Round Rock, Texas, USA - MAY 27, 2017
Aroma: rich and roasty; Appearance: dark chocolate brown with thin offwhite head that lingers; Taste: follows nose; lots of roasty caramel; really good for a brown ale; Palate: heavy body with long, roasty, nutty finish that doesn’t get too malty like most browns; Overall: very nice. Probably wouldn’t seek out but an excellent example of the style. fonefan (49343) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAY 2, 2017

Tap at Fools Gold. Opaque brown colour, good creamy brownish head and lace. Toasted aroma has some coffee. Medium-bodied. Toasted coffeish flavor. Earthy hoppyness. Malty finish. Some other brewery may call this black ipa although it is not so fruity hoppy.
