750 from the source. Hazy-not-quite-cloudy pale yellow orange with lasting head and lace. Dank fruity orange bready spicy aroma with a hint of pine. Light tropical fruit grassy hay sweetness with a hint of tartness and medium grapefruity bitterness. Light body soft and lively. Something about this is SO FUCKING EXCELLENT. I like all the HF IPAs but this one stands out, maybe because the bitterness is more assertive. One of the best IPAs I've had.

750ml growler poured into a Founders snifter.
A~ glowing neon yellow, with a nice head and slight lacing.
S~ a little floral, slight citrus and lots of earthy pine. a little HF funk as well.
T~ lots of hop bitterness up front, followed by a little lemony citrus and tons of pine on the finish.
M~ a perfectly carbonated IPA, very full and pretty dry.
O~ not my favorite hoppy HF, but still great as always. i’d go for something else if you have the choice but still definitely worth it. i love how that HF "flavor" comes through in all their brews. it must be the well water ;] kaser (6469) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 29, 2017

Our first rating for the esteemed Hill Farmstead from our weekend VT beer tour and it’s great as almost everything they do is (some are just very very good). It has a juicy citrusy aroma and pours a dank hazy cloudy orange color. The taste is a little more hoppy bitter than the Treehouse-esque juice bomb one might expect based on appearance and smell, but it is perfectly balanced and complex. This is definitely one of the best IPAs I’ve had. Good for sitting in the grass and debating Leelee Sobieski’s baby name choices while waiting for your friend to get off the phone with his credit card company because he got a phantom hold placed on it while purchasing >$100 of bottles. Tap. Hazy mellow looking light peachy orange. Some sherbet, wooziness, slight sweat, and tangelo in aroma. Flavor is similar, but heavier on the wordiness. Light to medium super soft body.
