Pouring at the Saturday sessions of EBF. Pours a big black with a thin beige head, murky and thick looking. Lots of cocoa, roast, and long thick coffee notes. Coffee, big and sweet, toast and roast, long sweet cocoa and coffee, chocolate. Super smooth, and very tasty. Fred82 (2332) - Québec City, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 18, 2011

Appearance : Deep black with a small head.
Aroma : Lots of coffee and roasted malt. Resinous hops too.
Taste : Lots of coffee and roasted malt. Quite warm finish with a light but sharp bitterness. Nice sweetness.
Overall : Lots of coffee all around. Awesome finish, strong and tasty. Not much alcohol considering it’s around 15%. Taste like 7-8%. Great sipper. Really well made. Earl was already an awesome beer and I don’t think this one is better. Interesting experiment nonetheless.
As dark of a brown as I have ever seen, you can’t even see thru it. Head was a dense mocha crown.
The aroma was pure coffee.
The taste was the blackest, richest coffe I ever done drank. Even after letting it warm in my hands the alchol barely peeked thru.
Considering the high abv this was way too drinkable.
This ain’t your mommas coffee beer, but dad gonna enjoy her after she drinks it.

My Bottom Line:
Velvety and ever-so-smooth, this Iced Coffee Stout delivers plenty of coffee flavors alongside chocolate cake goodness, until roasted bitterness achieves balance.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy dollop of foam tops the brown-hinged blackness.
-This is 15%?!?. Wow. The body is lascivious, and easygoing at once. This is not a sugar bomb like many iced beers.
-Carbonation is delicate and creamy. Feels like whipped cream on a capuccino.
-This may not be a super complex Iced Stout, but it is highly pleasurable and as impeccably executed as any other Hill Farmstead brew I’ve had.
