Dogbrick (14386) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 20, 2018
Sample at the production facility during Jackie O’s 12th Anniversary Extravaganza on 01/05/2018. Hazy yellow-gold color with a medium bright white head that burns away steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of lemon, funky yeast and grass. Light-bodied with flavors of tart lemon, funky yeast and doughy malt. The finish is tart and funky with a floral and lemony aftertaste. Good beer overall.

Draft at the Jackie O's Production Facility during the 12th Anniversary party weekend. Pours a hazy pale yellow-gold with a finger of white head that settles into a thick ring and thinner film. Notes of lemon, wheat, grass, biscuit, sourdough, faint herbs, and light tartness. Light-bodied, with modest carbonation and a smooth, barely tart, barely sweet mouthfeel. All-day crusher. Delicious and delicate. Category killer, although it's a bit of a twist on the category itself.

JStax (7371) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - JAN 5, 2018
Draft sample at Jackie O's. The beer is a pale, hazy yellow with a white head of foam. The aroma is citrusy and tart. Juicy and citrusy taste with a puckering sourness that rings through the finish. Light body and medium carbonation. Fun and tasty.

750ml bottle (thx, Alex G.!). Bottled in September, 2016. Pours a bit hazy pale with a white head. Aroma is funky, a bit floral. Similar taste with some citrusy notes on the back. Floral hoppy bitterness aftertaste. Kind of a light version of HF saisons. Good.

Bottle courtesy of Jacob. Hazy yellow pour with a frothy white head. Citrusy light funky nose with cracker malts, hay & barnyard. Regular beautiful Hill funk. Tiny sour, fruity & funky taste. Dry & tart mouth. Refreshing & tasty!

Bottle during HF tick fest; hazy yellow pour with a thin white head, aroma has light citrus and some yeast action, taste has fresh citrus, mostly lemon, not sure it is true to style.

Bottle shared in NH - huge thanks to AC. Pours clear yellow with a small, creamy white head. Subtle aroma, with nips of lemon peel, wheat flakes, a little grass, biscuits. Light sweet flavour with mild citrus character, some rindy bitterness, straw, soft lemon. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, quite restrained, with further mild grassy notes, a little acidity, lemon peel, hay. Super drinkable.

*5/9/2016 375ml bottle poured into a HF FOFA fest. glass. A~ glowing yellow/green with a huge head that dissipates rather quickly and a little lacing. S~ oaky brett, tons of grapefruit, lemon/lime and other crazy citrus fruits! zesty wheat on the back end but soft and subtle. T~ follows the nose with a lot more zesty wheat and oaky barrel characteristics including a little vanilla. other than that tons of grapefruit juice and zest along with peppery saison like yeast on the finish. M~ like juice but delicate. crazy refreshing and surprisingly not over carbed! O~ really glad i got to try this! it gushed a little but it wasn’t bad all. definitely the best radler i’ve ever had the pleasure of trying. i really enjoyed the oak presence, it kind of reminded me of the deep oak of an Armand Season... i am serious! not as intense of course... but still! this was awesome... that is all!
