16oz bottle shared with Julien. Pours black. Cappuccino head. Foamy micro frothy bubbles. Thick around the edges. Smells boozy, sweet chocolate. Smooth. Bourbon sweet wood Barrel. Caramel and molasses. Subtle sweet dried dark fruits. Tastes sweet dark chocolate, roast Malts, caramel, dried fruits. Not much toastiness. Strong boozy flavor that works perfectly with the rest of it. You can distinctively taste the Aaron and the GoM. Very smooth palet. Thick and viscous. Great aftertaste.

From notes. Enjoyed at Doug’s abode on August 03. 500 mL bottle. The pour is a dark, dark brown with a lighter brown head and a couple spots of lace that fall off slowly. The aroma is really good. There is a lot of sweet malt and heavy chocolate here. A light oakiness behind it really ties in a sweeter molasses component. The flavor is much of the same. The chocolate and a heavy oak throughout with a hint of vanilla and roast on the back end. This one is balanced and lovely. The mouth feel is nice and medium bodied with a soft carbonation and a lingering creamy chocolate and oak on the back end. Damn, wasn’t expecting this one. 8 4 8 4 16
