Taste is bitter and malty with heavily roasted malts, salty liquorice, dark roast coffee, burnt wood, bitter chocolate, grapefruit rinds, lemon zest and orange zest. Mouthfeel is creamy, soft, round, astringent and near full bodied. Finish is bitter with roasted malts, dark roast coffee, bitter chocolate, moist soil, charred wood and citrus peal. caesar (7393) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - MAY 5, 2013
Bottle @ Mikkeller & Friends. Dark color, medium brown head. Aroma of coffee and chocolat with a fruity blanket of citrus and orange on top. Big maltiness in taste where bitter and sweet are in perfect harmony, again with fruity tones from the oranges. Lovely balance, awesome beer.
