750 ml. Bottle pour. Cloudy yellow color with a thick nice white head. Nice complexity. Orange and the wine barrels come through nice, readbaron (78) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 24, 2012
UPDATED: APR 26, 2013 Smells like a saison (spicy, earthy notes, a touch of funk, some grain) with a light citrus finish.
Taste is excellent. Much more citrus than the nose indicates. I see why this is named mimosa - it’s packed with citrus orange juice - and the underlying saison gives it a funky beery champaign flavor. Feel is nice. Could be a bit drier and lighter for a perfect mimosa comparison, but it’s well carbed, medium bodied, slightly sticky. I’m surprised that this bad boy is 10%, as the alcohol doesn’t come through in the flavor.
Overall, tasty beer. Glad I got to try it. Thanks, Matt! MJGG (952) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 28, 2012
Bottle, courtesy Mike, thanks bud! Pour is light orange with a small off-white head, good retention/lace. Aroma of tropical brett, perfume, dough, pineapple, citrus. Taste is lightly bitter, tropical brett, dough, lemon, citrus, a bit sweet. Palate is dry, high carbonation, a bit sticky, light bitter finish. Aptly named. Bottle at Damico’s. Pours a cloudy orange with nice head. Nose is slight citrus, mild funk, white vinous notes. first sip is similar with even balance but little brett but beautiful developed flavors. great beer. Huhzubendah (3740) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 19, 2012
Shared by yourefragile. Thanks Michael.
The beer is golden orange with a soft white head. The aroma brings oranges, orange peel, wild yeast, funk. I thought the flavor was excellent, though I happen to love citrusy beers, especially sours, saisons, IPAs, so perhaps I am biased in favor of this citrus delight. Mild acetic presence. Alcohol presence is masterfully hidden. Highly enjoyable and drinkable. I would love to have this again. Steve_0 (3818) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 19, 2012
Bottle at Crooked Stave’s Final Release Party of 2012, pour courtesy of Andre. Big thanks for this one man! Appearance is golden yellow with a small white head and great lacing. Big brett and funky characteristics in the aroma; pineapple, medicinal, herbal, super tropical. Taste is also very bretty, funky, band-aid, mango, oranges, citrusy, and somewhat spicy with a beautifully dry finish. Medium body with high carbonation. One of my top wants, and a true enjoyment to try. I really wish I could get this beer year-round. Awesome brew!!
