Bottle at Crooked Stave’s Final Release Party of 2012, pour courtesy of Andre. Big thanks for this one man! Appearance is golden yellow with a small white head and great lacing. Big brett and funky characteristics in the aroma; pineapple, medicinal, herbal, super tropical. Taste is also very bretty, funky, band-aid, mango, oranges, citrusy, and somewhat spicy with a beautifully dry finish. Medium body with high carbonation. One of my top wants, and a true enjoyment to try. I really wish I could get this beer year-round. Awesome brew!! Ed5388 (3488) - Forked River, New Jersey, USA - SEP 5, 2013
750ml bottle (2011 bottle 56 of 450). Huge thanks to Scott for sharing! Pours a hazy golden orange color with a thick pillowy white head. Aroma of sour citrus, pineapple, orange, grapefruit, lots of funk, and brett. Taste of biscuity malt, sour juicy tart citrus, orange zest, orange pulp, and lots of funky brett. Awesome! ctipping (2299) - Florida, USA - NOV 16, 2015
750 mL bottle. Bottle #2. Originally reviewed 5/25/2013.
] Hazy orange. Bright orange. Nice white head.
Orange and brett are the most dominant aromas. Some grassiness and hay. Pale malts.
Taste is much more orange. More winey. Strong pale malt. Very bretty and earthy. Lingering orange flavor in the finish and just a touch of bitterness.
Medium heavy body. Slick. Bretty in the back with a touch of earthiness and acidity.
It’s not life-altering, but it’s pretty damn good. Brett is getting a bit strong and masking other flavors. eshepski41 (20) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 25, 2012
Cloudy, orange-golden with a white airy head. Has a scent of sourness and orange. Taste is initially sour then the bitterness of orange peel and finishes bitter with the feel of sparkling champagne. nightrider (754) - encinitas, California, USA - APR 22, 2012
Pour from a bottle gave an orange golden color in the glass with ample carbonation and a white head, Slightly hazy but nice looking beer. The nose is pronounced with classic Brett character of earthy funk and a tad bit of sweetness. Initial flavors are the citrus fruits of orange, tangerine, lemon alongside honeydew and melon. Middle of your palate you get the Citra and Galaxy notes and a smooth mouthfeel. The characteristic resident wild yeast is noticeable as well. Alcohol not really apparent. All these complex and unique flavors blend well and are interesting as well as very tasty. Really liked this beer.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2016 Bottle opened May 20, 2012. Warning: quite the gusher, lost a quarter of the bottle after popping the cap. Hazy golden yellow body. Large white, fluffy head. Spotty lacing. Nose is bright lemon, orange, wheat, and generic citric zest. Flavor is similar with subtle must, acidity, and oak complementing the citric notes. Mildly complex. Medium to light bodied. Aggressive carbonation (but not off-putting). All around, a bit weak given the concept. No doubt this is tasty, but for a bretted saison with citrus, I’d have expected even more. mikem409 (2032) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - AUG 17, 2012

Light orange pour with a white head. Oranges right off the bat in the nose followed by tropical fruit salad, musty, earthy funk and tartness. Flavors follows the nose with big orange up front, mild tartness, more funk and tropical fruits. High carbonation with a medium body. A touch of booze at the end. I liked it better when I had it right after the release, but it is still great! kevd193213 (992) - Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA - JUN 30, 2013
