Super Fresh Growler pour from my man Frank. Huge thanks for letting me try this absolutely insane ipa. Pours an ultra murked out yellow gold color with small snow white head and nice occasional lace patterns. Aromas of the juciest and most resinous hop flowers imaginable, tons and tons of grapefruit guts, pineapple, light tang, lemon fuel, mango. There has to be some riwaka or motueka in here, don’t get quite the amount of cheese from nelson. Taste is the same as the aroma, and maybe more impressive. Perfectly dry and bitter in the close. Growler fill from the brewery. 2nd best IPA I’ve ever had. Is it the well water or just a well balanced and hoptastic brew? Either way it’s mighty tasty. Cheers! AdamChandler (5113) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - SEP 20, 2012
On tap at Hill Farmstead on a cool day. This was just tapped a few minutes ago and I got 3 growlers + a tasting. Growlers were $10 /750ML

A - Bright orange, very cloudy with a nice fine puffy white 2-finger head of carbonation that settled pretty fast. Pretty good lacing. Looks a lot like tangerine rinds.
S - Wow. Big juicy citrus explosion on the nose. Mild level of bitterness, hints of Simcoe, grapefruit, tangerine and pears.
T - Another WOW. This beer coats the tongue and leaves a tingling sensation. It’s big, bright and tastes like fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, hints of honey with a nice mix of bitter and floral finish.
M - Nicely balanced level of carbonation and I expected Heady Topper levels of maltiness at nearly 8% ABV but the alcohol is well hidden. Only after swallowing do you get any hint of booze above 5%.
O - Society 2 was my favorite in this series. Society 4 came VERY close. 5 has blown them all out of the water. Shaun...please make more of this. A LOT more.
UPDATED: MAY 8, 2013 Thanks a ton Joe for the HF hook up! Pour from a 750ml growler into a tulip glass. This was filled October 2nd, 2012.
A - Pours a very cloudy and light yellow body. Never seen a DIPA so light, it almost looks like a murky berliner weisse or something. Massive white head forms with just an unreal amount of sticky lacing and retention. Looks perfect.
S - Mango and grapefruit juice. The smell is just so oily and juicy with a touch of dankness on the very end. One of the best hop aromas I have ever smelled. I typically lean towards grapefruit and tropical notes over the dank/resinous/piney beers so this is just right up my alley.
T - Bitter grapefruit and mango juice. Like drinking a glass of oily and super fresh citrus juice. The taste is just so perfect. Bitterness is intense but never overwhelming and the juicy citrus finishes dry and pleasantly. Again, perfect.
M - Medium bodied with light and prickly carbonation. Highly drinkable.
O - Heady? This just replaced that beer as my favorite DIPA. This is just too stupidly perfect. I could drink this every day and never lust after another beer. DeputyAndy (636) - Ambler, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 23, 2012
Growler. Pours a perfect gold. The best ipa nose ever. Perfect dry taste. Sweet, tropical. Insane.

Cloudy yellow/gold pour. Pure grapefruit peel and grassy hops hit the nose followed by a light yeasty finish. Creamy, yeasty, hoppy, juicy, and utterly delicious. Wow. Berard (639) - Salem, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 10, 2014
Draft. Pours murky orange with a thin white head that lingers. Strong intoxicating cities aroma over light carbonation. Superior complexity in a first class double.

Orange pour, creamy white head. Nose is big pineapple, fresh water, grapefruit, minerals. Taste is big pineapple, so clean and fresh, minerals, floral hops. Palate is so crisp and clean, nice sticky body. The best IIPA I’ve had besides maybe Abner. pcshotsauce33 (61) - Columbus, New Jersey, USA - FEB 16, 2015
Tap @ Worthy Burger. This is a damn near perfect DIPA. Hill killed it on this experiment. Grapefruit galore as the citrus poors out from the glass but yet so balanced with the hops mixture making this so enjoyable to drink. I just have to give this a "hells yeah" to try if you can locate somewhere. BMMillsy (1788) - Florida, USA - JUN 9, 2015
UPDATED: JUN 19, 2015 Growler from the brewery. Pours cloudy yellow with a big creamy white head that just sticks all over the glass. Aroma of grapefruits, pineapples, mangoes, some pine and grass, really nice. Flavor is off the hook. Lots of bitterness here, but it gets your palate ready for the sweet pineapple and mango, along with lots of citrus fruits, and then a final kick of bitter dry pine. Finishes clean as can be (no surprise there for HF). Body is relatively light for a DIPA, but creamy with nice sweet malt backing. Goes down way too easy. This is fantastic.
