This was poured into a snifter served at The Reservoir.
The appearance was a thick ruddy grapefruit rind color with a slim bar pour’s kind of head that barely left any lacing.
The smell was a wonderful combination of the grapefruit pulp and orange pulp. Slight mango and papayas slide in underneath.
The taste was mainly bittersweet fully combined. Really tasted like I was drinking my morning orange / grapefruit juice. Awesome smooth transition from aftertaste to finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sipping to sessionable quality about it. Carbonation seemed pretty good as the bittersweetness really impounds my tongue in an awesome manner.
Overall, not sure why I’m seeing lower ratings from everyone else but I loved this one. HF knocked it out of the park! Gorbalev (3000) - Ontario, CANADA - AUG 12, 2013
Growler, thanks Colin and family - picked up last Wednesday, herein Russell today :). Classic hazy yellow, small foamy head. Strong, yeasty, citrusy hops. Lovely. Taste - wow, kind of the typical HF dry yeasty citrusy taste, but then it kicks it way up with a huge orange zest and a bit of grapefruit kick - not a hop monster, just intensely flavourful. Wow, my favourite HF so far. Stunning. So good. apotekhin (79) - ISRAEL - OCT 13, 2013
Strong aroma - but not as strong as other DIPA. Sweet and and smooth with grassy flavor. Caramel and malt flavor, very rich and full body with a semi dry bitter finish. Not a huge fan of the style but that was perfect. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - AUG 13, 2013
UPDATED: FEB 10, 2015 growler from HF< what a simcoe bomb ,absolutely love it, dank and grassy, this is a real treat, keep me coming! Luk_ (243) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 5, 2014
2L growler shared by Julien. Pours a beautiful slightly hazy blond with a decent creamy head. Aroma is danky hops, onions, citrus and pine. Taste is juicy citrusy hops, bready malts and light pine. A more important bready malts presence makes this one more quaffable than the averqage S&S. A huge success.

Growler poured into teku glass. Hazy goldenrod color with thick white head that leaves nice laceing. Aroma is mandarin oranges, grapefruit rind, light lemon and cheesiness. Taste is dry and sharply bitter finish. Flavor comes off like citrus fruit salad and citrus zest. Great beer. Oh how I missed fresh hf pales. djd07 (14471) - Houston, Texas, USA - SEP 24, 2014
Growler thanks to Will. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with thick white head that lasts. The aroma is strong pine and citrus. Medium mouth with nice dry hop bite, citrus, nice light bitterness, juicy, very impressive. JulienHuxley (5807) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 4, 2014
2L growler, 2 days after visiting the brewery. Hazy glowing yello pour with lacy white head. Palate is med bodied with light carbonation, realllly tasty, damn this stuff is good. Zekada (427) - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - OCT 11, 2014
Tap at Mikkeller & Friends. Smell is very hoppy and has some notes of grass and hay. Pours pale orange with a small white head. Taste is a fresh sensation of hops, citrus and fresh fruits. Palate is light and fresh on the tongue. Overall a great solid DIPA which is highly recommended. Leighton (21235) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2014
Growler from the brewery - shared with Team London at Zwanze Day 2014 at The Kernel. Pours unclear gold with a creamy, white head. The nose is loaded with melon and tangerine, some pale bread, pissy hops. Medium sweet flavor with buckets more juicy citrus fruits, prominent tangerine, candied orange, lightly pithy grapefruit, melon. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation and graceful texture. Lightly oily and resinous on the finish, pretty sweet with low bitterness, more fruity hops, juicy tangerine, ripe orange. Superb balance, great depth. Excellent.
