Draught at Parker Pie, 1/19/17.
Thoroughly hazy, bright, fiery orange-golden body is topped by a medium-sized, off-white head showing moderately strong retention.
Nose is understated and comes on very slowly, but definitely crescendos in to a burst of pineapple, fresh grass, lemon pulp and soft nectarine/kiwi. Its "fuzzy" if you will, in the nose, with light cracker and biscuit tickling as it mixes with the ultra-dry citrus and very light pulpy-juicy character. Lots of mineral/house character on the end, with just a touch of white wine and woodiness, very light resin/grapefruit and no alcohol or flaw.
Flavor-wise, its on par with the nose, being very light, very dry and quite biscuity. Not as much juice as usual, from the series, though it still has its moments, with lots of nelson funkiness, interesting earthier and grassy notes and lots of wood and citrus. Its very interesting to see the interplay of these three rather eccentric hops. Everything seems in good condition here. Theres a touch of perfumey, sharp, resinous character that is probably exposed due to the very strong attenuation and overall dry character of the beer, but otherwise, another killer DIPA from HF.

(Rating #10,800) Growler... Murky peach-colored pour with a small, fragile, white head. Good retention. The aroma is a medley of fruity hops and bready malts. Medium to full-bodied with tingly carbonation. The flavor offers medium to heavy bitterness, both rindy and tannic, but fairly generic with no real hop character other than the bitterness. Maybe a little pineapple and mango here. Maybe not. A touch dry in the finish. Disappointing, but Im grateful for the opportunity to try this one. Bottle courtesy of ctipping!

On draft. This is a big, delightful mouth-orgy of flavors. Its got a chewy, turbid, sweet mouthfeel that makes it more reminiscent of the "haze bomb" IPAs coming from some other New England brewers, combined with a hop profile thats tangerines and oranges. Theres a bit too much going on and it finishes with a bit too much lingering sweetness, but this is still fantastic stuff.

Growler split at Pigs Ear 16, big thanks to Leighton, 29/11/16. Hazed orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is orange pith, papaya, mango, juicy citric flesh, light pine, cantaloupe melon. Taste comprises peach, toasted brioche, grapefruit zest, fleshy Tropicana, mango, pine resin. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a juicy hop rinse and light rise in alcohol. Overall an excellent DIPA, the alcohol is well masked and the balance is spot on.

Pigs Ear Fest. Growler - big thanks to Leighton. Very hazy gold beer, bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and mildly minerally crisp. Touch of chalk. Hop skunk leads to mango, pineapple and pine and a little dry hop spice. Dry finish. A fine tasting DIPA, could be a little cleaner on the palate.

Chapeau Shaun!

750ml growler bought yesterday at the brewery. Aroma: mostly orange zest but also clementines, light peaches. App: hazy orange cant see through, medium white head leaving beautiful thick bubbly lacing. Taste and palate: light to medium body, juicy and fruity but less than in aroma, light bitter finish. Overall: wonderful aroma, lack a bit in body and fruitiness in mouth, but overall this is an another homerun hoppy beer from HF.

Hf makes the best imperial ipas hands down. Peachy hazy body with white fluffy head. Aroma is floral herbal and fruity with papaya, white grape, citrus, some light scallion, and cracker bread malt. Taste is balanced sweetness and bitterness and insanely drinkable at 8%. Soft nice palate.
