Blackback draft and 750 growler.
Pours a cloudy pale orange and a dense white head, ample lacing. Nose is Summit... onion and grass. Stronger malt base than expected from HF, though onion isn’t a strong in flavor; grassy bitter finish. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 26, 2011
In short: A superb vibrant fruity/grassy IPA.alobar (3800) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 27, 2011
How: Tap at the brewery
The look: Cloudy dark yellow body topped by a medium off-white head with good retention
In long: Intense hoppy nose that is fruity (really all kinds of fruits), grassy and also a bit resinous. The type of IPA aroma I cannot get enough of. Taste has a full well malted body full of chewy bready pale malts. Lots of fruity and grassy hops, I noted mangos, fresh grass, passion fruits, grapefruits, dry yellowed grass, more… Bitterness is sharp and assertive. Of course it helps that I drank the beer uber-fresh at the brewery, but… wow! Another kick-ass hoppy beer from Hill Farmstead. This is a beer that should be enjoyed when really fresh if you want the Summit to be at its peak.
Pours a hazy orange amber color with an earthy, herbal aroma. Flavor is mostly citrus with some hops, Decent beer. Gmoney (442) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 24, 2011
Tap @ the Flyshop .... Hazy medium amber pour , big white head ,excellent lace . Aroma is very resiny , dank weed , earthy and herbal . Flavor follows the aroma , resin , earth , some malt sweetness and citrus . Medium body and soft carbonation. Finish is dry with lingering herbal notes . Different but enjoyable . mcberko (17867) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 22, 2011
Growler sent from Glouglouburp (thanks so much Dany!), split with Matts_Property, pours opaque orange with a white head. Aroma of pungent herbal hops, dry earthiness, blast of citrus and some wheat. Flavour is very complex for a pale ale: lots of floral and herbal hops, dry earthiness, slight citrus; robust palate with a dry hoppy, wonderfully bitter finish. The growler definitely lasted well for the cross-country journey. Most excellent, especially for a pale ale.

Growler split with mcberko. Pours a cloudy orange/yellow, with a thin white lacing. Aroma of herbal hops, earthiness, citrus. Flavour of dry herbal, earthy, some tangy citrus in there too - lemons, orange peel. Nicely balanced with the malts. Really fresh tasting. Pleasantly surprised. Draft at Backback Pub and Fly Shop - Pours a cloudy amber in color with a hefty off-white head. Aroma is a bit funky with lots of green/grassy hops. Flavor is not as funky, but much more citrus/grapefruit hops. Medium bitter when drinking and in the finish. Good, but pretty "average" by HF standards... craftycarl21 (2338) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 16, 2011
On tap at the Farmhouse in Burlington. Cloudy peach pour with a nice frothy head. Aroma holds awesome notes of marijuana, grapefruit, orange peel and tangerine. Falvor holds huge resin presence with more pot, pine, spruce, lemon and white grapefruit. Clean and drinkable with beautiful low but present carbonation. Awesome. oteyj (2139) - New Hampshire, USA - JUL 15, 2011
A hazy peach pour with a perfect white head. The nose holds tons of dank marijuana like herbals, spruce and evergreen forest, and tons of grapefruit. The flavor follows suit, with huge white grapefruit and orange peel notes. Uber resinous and bitter. I love the palate- low carbonation and not too thick. Love this hop varietal. johnnnniee (4312) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - JUL 14, 2011
On tap at the Reservoir Waterbury VT.
Pours a cloudy amber color with a creamy white head that sticks around for a bit. Smells of pine and citrus hops with very little malt to be found. Hints of garlic find their way into my nostrils but mesh up fairly well. Taste is slightly tart with an assault of spicy piney hops. Lemon and citrus make an appearance especially as she warms. Again malt contributes abv and very little flavor here. Medium body and level of bubbles, slick resinous mouthfeel. I really like this one, but this was my nightcap and it took some coaxing to finish the glass. I would love to revisit this again.
