Bottle @ RBSG 2014 Grand Tasting. T. Hanks, Biebers. Hazy golden straw pour with a big white head. Super floral and citrusy aroma. Great lemon zest, cracker, and yeast. Subtle spice. Damn, this is good. Mild tartness and acidity that works well with the dry, pale malt base. Wheat crackers, yeast, and lots of flowers. Good lemon zest and subtle grapefruit. Great stuff.

From a bottle at the RBSG grand tasting, Thanks Beibers!
Pours a pale color with a good head and nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is fruity and lemony, earthy & floral with some hay and light spice. It’s funky but very softly funky.

The flavor is dry with a nice bitterness. It’s lemony but only lightly tart. It’s got a nice floral bitter character that I assume is where the dandelions step in. There is some light bubblegum lingering in the background.

The beer is lively and champagne like on the palate.

way cool.

PS, this is my 100th Saison rating... whoop di doo!

Shared at RBSG 2014. Thanks Biebers. Nose is funky and a barnyard hay. Pour is a hazy yellow. Taste is a tart and puckering hay and floral blend. A Ron of carbonation. Solid but would like it a bit more tame.

750 ml bottle shared by Dreadnaught33. Thanks Jonathan! Pours a beautiful hazy golden yellow with active head that leaves lasting spongy lacing. Aroma is funky barnyard, citrus lemons, honey, floral notes and spicy yeast. Flavor is quenching and delicious: bright citrus upfront and honey sweetness in the finish. Powerful real flavors are easily identified separately, but come together perfectly. Wow. The beer is golden yellow and hazy with an inch of white head that plasters the glass with lacing. The aroma brings lemons, floral notes, light spice, honey (which emerges more and more as the beer is allowed to warm. Delicious flavor. Beautiful and clean. Honey and lemons. Refreshing. Is Hill Farmstead the best brewery in the USA?

Pre-DLD bottle share at Hampton Inn. Pour is hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma and flavor of straw, honey, hops, earth, acidity, barnyard, and pepper. Finish is Belgian yeast and slight funk.

750 ml bottle from Hill Farmstead. Pours a hazy golden yellow with an enormous fluffy white head like meringue on a pie. I normally don’t comment on lacing but this beer stuck to the glass as though it was meringue. Aromas of sweet grass, zesty lemon, some florals, and maybe a hint of banana. Tastes are sour lemon and grapefruit, a little salt, and a lightly bitter grass/hay. Lively on the palate, light bodied, strong carbonation, and a medium sour/salty finish. Great sessionable beer (although watch out for the 6% abv).

Ester_ (126) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 23, 2014
