Sampled at Gregwilson’s. Hazed golden with white foam. Smells a bit like a cider but a lot more going on. Apple flavor with a lot of malt. It is tart, woody, earthy, and spicy. This is a cider on steroids. Good stuff and uber interesting.

February 2018 - Saturday Tasting at Leighton's, Hackney. Bottle shared with big thanks to LKS. As 'Hill Farmstead Works of Love', this is the 2015 Anchorage collab 'apple beer'. Hazy pale yellow, opaque, sparkling, foamy white head leaves light lacing. Aroma is apple, pineapple, little mint. Body is light and frothy with tingly carbonation. Taste is apple, zesty citrus, tangy and a little acidic. Quite nice but no fireworks for me. (7-4-7-3-15=3.6)

Bottle shared in Hackney - picked up at the brewery. Pours clear yellow-gold with a foamy, white head. The nose has notes of peach, lemon, a little farmy funk, hay. Light sweet flavour with moderate acidity, further lemony notes, a few lemon candies, wheat flakes, apple skins. Light to meidum bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Clean finish, quenching, some assertive acidity, more lemony bite, touches of peach, mild woody dryness. Superb balance. Great stuff overall. Exceedingly drinkable.

375mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out moderate funk, saison yeast, and a bit of oak. Flavour is bright on the apple, with light oak, saison yeast, and light tartness. The apples offer a little crispness, leaving a slight tart finish. Nice stuff.
