Draft. Pours orange amber with a thin head. Plain sweet malts, toffee, mild bitterness, and a balanced finish. Fine. kevinator (2176) - The Colony, Texas, USA - MAR 3, 2016
Not good. No aroma detected. Dirty dark brown with no head. Palate was really light and watery. No substance. No hint of the style. No real flavor profile. Off flavors galore. Pass. Tstamba (775) - Maryland, USA - OCT 26, 2015
Taster at brewery. Copper red with thin head. Mostly malt on the nose and palate. A little bland... Meh... Marheb (5726) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 4, 2015
(En fût à la brasserie): Très discret chocolat noir, jus de pruneaux dilué et léger aspect rôti dans un liquide sans défaut mais sans éclat. snoworsummer (5626) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 4, 2015
Draft at the brewpub. Pours hazy copper with a fizzy off white head. Tastes nutty, like roasted malt, musky, toast. Light body and medium carbonation. Smells like roasted malt, nutty, cough syrup.

On tap at the Hillcrest Brew Pub. Poured an amber color with a very small sized off white head. Some toastiness, caramel, and earth. Thin. StefanSD (2451) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - JAN 27, 2014
650 ml botte. Pours a clear reddish-amber color with a small fizzy beige head that has poor retention and lasts about ten seconds. The aroma is caramel and caramel. The taste is malts forward with caramel, toffee, roasted barley, brown sugar and some mildly spicy hops. The palate is thin and almost watery and the carbonation is prickly. Finishes short and disappointing with a metallic aftertaste. Overall: This beer is an embarrassment to craft beer. Having now been underwhelmed by two Hillcrest beers I shall not be trying any more. Bottle from Sprout’s: Aroma is mildly fragrant with sweet syrupy like malts that hint caramel. Poured light medium amber hue with a fizzy head. The flavor is awful and has an astringent taste of medicine and rubbing alcohol and does not go down easy. Probably won’t ever taste this beer ever again. bhensonb (15098) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Bomber from CraftShack. Pours a lightly ruddy copper with a creamy beige head. Has the malty aroma associated with ambers, and particularly the Irish sort. Med body with fairly chewy carb. Flavor is lightly smoked malt. Lightly roasted malt. I think this fits my expectations for an "Irish", perhaps exceeding them. It’s malty, and I always think hoppy. Decent drink tho. brokensail (16440) - Dublin, California, USA - JUL 1, 2013
Amber pour with a white head. Toast, toffee, and grass on the nose. Some tea, sweet sugar, apple, and grass. Not terrible, but not good. The flavor is not all that enjoyable. Kind of bitter, some tea, grass, and toffee. Apple, floral hops, and bread.
