Looks good, smells good, but shows nothing in the mouth which characterizes a stout. Drinks like Guinness. Meh. Beerona97 (2399) - Washington, USA - FEB 11, 2012
Draft. Black with a tan head. Aroma is nice and roasted, toasted, nutty, caramel goodness. Taste is the same, pretty straightforward and well done. BrewDad (5667) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JAN 17, 2012
Dark black clear with a thin head. Rich chocolate malt aroma and flavor. Nice stout qualities very tasty. This beer warms up well and has a nice dry finish. BillKismet (4138) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 16, 2011
Black-bodied with a slight head. From the first whiff, the black patent is apparent. Otherwise a fairly straightforward stout. Sturdy grain backbone off-which burst cinder flames of ash. Full-bodied on the palate with a healthy smoky constitution that holds up to a chilly fall night. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - NOV 13, 2011
Draft at ncbc. Pours black and still and headless. Faint ashy roasty nose. Watery flat body. Roasty ashy mid palate. Acrid finish. Way too much black patent and not enough bubbles.
