Draught @ The Burgundian for their 2nd Anniversary:   Deep caramel in color, big reddish hue, moderate frothy sandy head, spotty lacing.   Sweet and fruity vinegar right up front.   Seems almost like a Sour Red/Brown.   Soft tart fruity notes, cherry, perhaps that’s the sherry, along with a pale breadiness.   Tart, a bit sweet, soft fruity vinegar, not as heavy as other doppelbocks in terms of breadiness, but lighter, more tart, more fruity, and a bit more interesting as far as I am concerned.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes tart and fruity, with pale breadiness.   I am not too familiar with sherry, but it certainly seems to have some sort of woody barrel aging done to it.   Pretty interesting, and different!
