Nice attempt at a traditional style, though it still has that North West hop touch.

Pours pale yellow with thin white head. Aroma is like a lighter Budvar. Very effervescent. Flavors are deceptively deep, with solid dry malt backbone behind a nice Saaz hop flavor. Aftertaste ends in a rather biting bitterness that is a little overdone for this style. Quite nice, a little too much for a easy-drinking Pils, but still quite pleasant.

Hazy light gold, aroma a bit skunky in a noble way, some pale malts, a bit sweet, and it finishes with an off-dry but rather dull hop note. I liked this more the first time I had it.

Canned: unk Guessing this is the correct listing, as there are no other Hilliardís Pils listed. Pours neon yellow light with a solid finger of loose, short lived white foam. Smells of a hint of skunk, plenty of grain, some corn, a bit of hay and some nice herbal hops. Flavor up front made me think of corn tortillas. Is this bad? Maybe, but I kinda appreciate it in a circumstantial standpoint. I wouldnít tell a person this was a must have, but certainly a thing to have with a few lengua tacos at your local truck... That being said, there really isnít much else going on in the flavor: some water, some corn, some tortilla. Medium on full bodied for the style with moderate carb and an off dry finish. An interesting beer. Serving type: can 09-14-2012

16oz can, new label, nice redesign. Sadly, the beer needs improvement too. Clear, sparkling gold pour has a fizzing out macro lager head with no retention at all. Not good for this style. Nose is malt liquor in profile with corn, apple, ear wax, sharp esters. Taste is eggy, sulfury, dirty apple. Chalky, mealy palate. Very disappointing. Actually shocking.

Sample at the brewery taproom. Clear pale golden color with a medium thin white head that dissipates steadily. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of hops and grain. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal hops, bready malt and a bit of spice. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Golden in color, clear with a thin head. They brew a super beer here at Hilliards. Love the flavors and the finish.

Can from Malt & Vine. Pours slightly hazy gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is earthy/spicy. And a bit bready. Near med body. Bready in a very good way. And it is earthy and spicy. Not sure this isnít more German than Czech, but itís pretty tasty. Finishes with a touch of sweet malt and a lot of bitter.

16 oz tallboy. Pours a cloudy medium amber with a pillowy platinum blond head. Loose drippy lace. Big rich grassy nose with some wet crackers there. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Grass and cracker mid palate, malty and wet to match the heavier body. Nice sturdy session pils.
