On tap at the brewpub on Hilton Head. Called "Reggie" there - although this may be a slightly different batch, am still lumping together. Lightly fruity. Citrus. Some biscuity malt. Decent. 13 Dal9000 (665) - Ohio, USA - JUN 9, 2016
At the brewery. Actually called "the folly" And it's a doubleipa. Pours murky yellow. In your face citrus and pine hops. Mellows out after a few sips.

Part of the sampler in my recent visit. This was the worst of the bunch (perhaps tied with the Pale Ale, but I am too lazy to add the beer). Possible infection does not help the case for this brew. Light grain/cereal with some notes of light butter and mild hops. All in all the would have been a drain pour had it not been for the only 2 ounces I received in the flight. Based on other reviews I apparently had a bad batch of a already mediocre beer. Which makes me kind of upset that they sold me the beer. alexsdad06 (10636) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - AUG 12, 2013
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have some sweet citrus, floral notes, dry toastedmalt with mmoderate bitterness to the finish. This just seemed to be lacking compared to other local IPAs on the island. theisti (4175) - Kansas, USA - JUL 15, 2013
Narrow pils glass sample, approximately 3 oz, draft at the brewpub in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The pour is a light haze orange golden with a white head and a bunch of thick lacing. The aroma is soft floral and citrus orange hops. The taste is bitter, dusty grain, then the orange citrus fruit sweetness. The palate is medium to light bodied with soft carbonation and a dry mineral bitter finish. Just an OK IPA, didn’t use or manage the dry Bitterness that well.

Draft - pours deep gold with white head and good lacing. Flavor is grassy, floral and a tad piny. Bitter in moderate fashion. beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - SEP 15, 2012
On tap. 6.3% ABV. Hazy golden pour with a fluffy white top. Scent is citrus and grainy. Taste is citrus with a piney bitter finish. Drjohnrock (831) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 17, 2012
Draft sampler at the brewpub. Nice hoppy/grapefruit/malt aroma, small white head that slowly left with good lacing, clear golden hue, light body, satisfactory hoppy taste with fair malt balance. Tasted on July 8, 2012. DConMan (114) - Ballwin, Missouri, USA - JUL 5, 2012
Enjoyed on-tap @ the Hilton Head Brewing Co in Hilton Head Island, SC for $5. Tapped from the non-labeled silver tap handle into a 16oz Pint Glass.
Aroma- American hops are first to hit the nose and then has a very sweet and malty background. An average IPA aroma is found here.
Appearance- Received with a .5 finger head that dies very quickly. Has a clear, golden body with some copper included. Leaves good lacing behind.
Flavor- A faint dry hopped flavor is the first thing I notice. Malts are stronger than the hops coming in very sweet. Light-Medium bitterness.
Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied, Medium-High Carbonation, sweet, and tons of wheat on the finish... Not sure I can appreciate this. Watered down as well.
Overall Impression- The aroma and appearance are well done but then the American IPA taste and mouthfeel just isn’t there. You can be cheap on the crystal malts while brewing the beer but not the hops when it comes to this style... Definitely reminds me of Schlafly’s Yakima Wheat which isn’t close to the style. smoosh (536) - New Albany, Indiana, USA - MAY 8, 2012
The aroma has hops, but fairly indistinguishable hops. The appearance is nice - copper colored with a fluffy white head. The flavor is of more indistinguishable hops ... grassy? It also lacks the malt to balance it. Not a fan ...
