Bottle. Poured a dark amber with an average to large rocky off-white head that was lasting with good lacing. Mediumfloral sweet grainy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with a moderate sweet finish of medium duration. Good sweet grain brew.

On tap. My friend thought it was hoppy, but to me this is as middle-of-the-road hum-ho as it gets. deyholla (11505) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 11, 2012
Sampled from the tap at the Milwaukee location. Pours a clear amber with an off white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a nice floral note with light hops and backing cereal. Flavor has notes of sweet grains and cereal with a bit of light fruit in the finish. BVery (10327) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - DEC 10, 2011
Bottle. Mostly clear amber pour with a nice initial soapy head that fades quickly. Nice aroma of flowers and caramel. Medium to lighter palate, low carbonation. Taste isn’t as good as the aroma - mild caramel, low hop, low carbonation. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 31, 2012
1 pint bottle. Thin off-white head. Bubbles on side of glass. Clear amber color. Crisp carbonation, dry texture. Toasty, caramel, bready aroma, some light hops. Light sweet, toasty taste. Decent amber. The 1 pint bottle size makes it convenient to enjoy with a sandwich.

On tap at Hinterland. Poured a brilliant medium caramel with a short, well-retained cap of sticky white head.. solid dose of rising carbonation too. Aroma picked up sweet, lightly-toasted caramel with some darker fruits at the core.. dusty with a bit of detergent on the back. Flavor was of moderately sweet caramel and darker fruits again.. light floral bitter accents worked well with a light hit of citrus at the finish. Well-balanced and light-medium bodied.. mild bitterness. Patrickctenchi (6556) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JAN 26, 2014
Cloudy brown with a moderate tan head.
Fruit, tree bark aroma.
Taste is light, malty......just reminds me of tree-like flavours....
Woody, but sweet.
Apple notes, lightly toasted malt.
Very enjoyable. JPDIPSO (6216) - Wauwatosa, USA - JUL 13, 2005
Dark copper color with a small off white head. Light fig and mild malt aromas. Caramel and pale malts abound in the flavors. An slightly above average amber. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 6, 2012
(draught) dark caramel color with sparse head. Nose of caramel, chocolate malt and a little grassy. Taste of caramel, lightly Hoppy, medium body, well carbonated. Easy to drink, nothing too exciting. thedm (6147) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 8, 2012
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy fine to large sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation transparent dark red brown colored body. The mild aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of mild smokiness and mild roasted malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.
