On tap at the brewery. Faint hops on the nose of this amber beer. Very grainy taste with a clean finish. Daytonbeer (729) - Ohio, USA - MAR 18, 2012
Decent Amber. Aroma is light with some maltiness and hay. Taste is better than the aroma. Very sweet with carmel and malts. Alittle to sticky on the palate, but not bad overall. thedm (6319) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 8, 2012
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy fine to large sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation transparent dark red brown colored body. The mild aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of mild smokiness and mild roasted malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again. JPDIPSO (6287) - Wauwatosa, USA - JUL 13, 2005
Dark copper color with a small off white head. Light fig and mild malt aromas. Caramel and pale malts abound in the flavors. An slightly above average amber. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 7, 2009

Hinterland tapper was reddish amber with a nice frothy lace. Aroma was of malts and hops. Taste was similar - no non-sense malts with a nice mild-hop wrap follow-up. Palate was decent. Overall a nice amber that’s worth a second, third, etc... try. thornecb (6066) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 21, 2011
Pours deep amber into a shaker. Off-white head quickly recedes to hug rim. Caramel aromas. Bread, caramel, toffee and nuts from front to back. Dry mild resin finish. arkurzynski (2463) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 24, 2012
Heidel House Brewfest. Reddish amber in color. Aroma is light, generic hops and sweet toasted malt and caramel. Flavor is a slightly grainy toasted malt, light caramel that gives way to a moderate herbal-type hop bitterness that lingers. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 6, 2012
(draught) dark caramel color with sparse head. Nose of caramel, chocolate malt and a little grassy. Taste of caramel, lightly Hoppy, medium body, well carbonated. Easy to drink, nothing too exciting. rogsiu (42) - Illinois, USA - AUG 18, 2012
