16oz bottle, brown/orangish color, cloudy, minimal head, white foam, slight hoppy aroma, more malt aroma than anything else. Slight hoppy flavor (I would prefer much more hop taste), almost a caramel ,malty taste, medium body, balanced. Thin feel for an IPA, slight astringent finish, , Overall, not a bad ipa, better than some, not as good as others. ccex (1350) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 22, 2012
Half liter bottle pours a hazy orange/amber with lots of rising bubbles and a fair off-white head. Smell is mostly citrus hops. Aroma is the same, but with a bit of piney hops and carmel malts. Taste is bitter with an earthy finish. Medium body without too much carbonation. Overall, a simple and decent IPA. JK (6249) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - SEP 23, 2012
Gold color. A simple ipa. Mild hop aroma. More hops in the flavor with citrus, and minimally sweet malt. Gold color, thin palate. matthewjk (1125) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 10, 2012
One pint poured into a glass vessel. Real deal IPA: bitter, dry, hoppy, and astringent, but some nice sweetness offered by the malt bin. More than adequate offering from Hinterland. drowland (8938) - Georgia, USA - AUG 21, 2012
8/11/12. GTMW. Light copper/amber pour with a small khaki head. Malty aroma with caramel and hints of earthy hops, floral aspects, and pine, but you have to search. The flavor is much the same - either old, uninteresting, or both. Eh.

Thanks to GhostFace for this one. Half liter bottle pours deep clear copper with thin off white head. The mild aroma offers up some resiny vague piney hops, a bit of malt and a bit of fruity esters. The taste has a mix of bitter floral hops and some modestly resiny pine hops to midway and then picking up mild levels of earthiness and fruity esters. It stays floral and pine like hop bitterness into the finish and after taste. Kind of bitter, kind of floral, kind of an OK IPA offering. rondphoto (4489) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - AUG 16, 2012
Hazy dark amber with a strong off-white head and washes of lace. I read several other reviewers comments, and am having trouble discerning some of the taste elements they describe. This starts with a modest caramel malt that shows light sweet spice and toast, then adds enough hops to be noticeable, but not enough to satisfy hop-heads. This is a good selection for the novice hop-sampler. Recommended. cheap (6007) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 2, 2012
From a big pounder bottle, way to go hinter on the packaging! Smells a little like candy. Yes the big dull old ipa bitterness just swashing around in your mouth. Looks viscous sitting there with its slow rising bubbles in a syrupy lookin brew. Soapy old rude ipa like yellow brown sprce tar. Alky adds a tad if dulling smoothness to it but it never gets cloying. Long thick bitter finish. Yez, bitter nasty thing, on style I guess. 50cl bottle: pours a clear deep golden with a thin-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet pale malty nose with some light oxidation and piney hop notes. Starts with a lightly toasted malty sweetness with a healthy amount of piney bittering hops and light citrus notes before a drier bittersweet finish. Didn’t taste as fresh as some IPAs and lacked some of the flavor hop components I prefer. Dragonfly1 (500) - Colorado, USA - JUN 18, 2012
Bottle from the Piggly Wiggly in Oconto Falls. Pours nice dark copper, some head. Aroma is all citrus and grapefruit. Taste and body start out great, but then fade to nothing. Good balance initially with the grapefruit hops and the sweet malt, but the body turns very flat/ watery, and the finish is almost too clean. This would have been rated a lot higher for me as the taste and balance is very good, but the body is too watery and ultimately flat... So close to being really outstanding.
