A: The pour is almost black in color with a finger of khaki head sitting on top.
S: There is a very strong roasted malt aroma to this beer and a bit of char as well. Some coffee grounds in there as well as a bit of cocoa powder. Pretty straight forward and simple aroma.
T: The flavor is sort of watery and bland, almost reminiscent of how some nitro beers are. The coffee grounds flavor is strong and there is quite a bit of roast. Just a little bit of cocoa powder in there.
M: On the light side of medium with a creamy carbonation to it.
O: Kind of lackluster and bland, unfortunately. Not really something I’d care to have again. djd07 (16307) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 6, 2016

Bottle shared by Jay. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate toasted malt and coffee aroma. Medium over roasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a good beer that met my expectations.

16 ounce bottle courtesy of Mr. Pickles. Thanks! 5/12/10. Pours a very dark brown color with a thin head. Good head retention and lacing. A nice dry aroma with notes of coffee, roast and light caramel. The taste is bitter fresh coffee with a bit of a sweet note, bitter roasted malts and bitter hops. Very dry, very bitter, but still good. Medium bodied, smooth and creamy. Nice beer. Dogbrick (14326) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 26, 2012
