Bottle. Clear amber pour with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet malt, herbs and pepper. Malty flavor with a nice herbal character before a dry finish. Nice saison. arkurzynski (2463) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - APR 28, 2014
Deep amber pour. Nose of dried citrus and spicy saison yeast. Light hay. Flavor is more citrus, ending lightly dry with more yeast character/spice, and light pepper. Some caramel/biscuit elements. Dry enough, but not overly true to style. Could use even more yeast character. Still, drinkable. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - APR 28, 2014
[Tap] Pours a hazy yellow color with a large cap of white head. Aroma of citrus, coriander, light amounts of straw and funk. Taste is of citrus zest, lemongrass and light grains. Lingering peppercorn spiciness is pleasant. Nice. Aurelius (5570) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 16, 2014
Worthless label, soviet bloc europint bottle. Hazy oak gold, lacy short white head. Malty, hoppy, tannic, slightly funky lemon cake aroma. A little chemical-phenolic, fairly acidic, lightly sweet, kumquat pith bitterness - interesting. Medium to slightly light body. When I see the word "saison" it evokes the notion of a middle-aged housewife who’s let herself go, but who could look a lot better -- saison, to me, means that you’re too lazy to make a beer correctly and are willing to have it show up in curlers. Whole Foods, Tallahassee. crossovert (13908) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 15, 2014
500ml bottle. Light zippy, some pepper and citrus. Typical higher-gravity american saison.

Draft at heartland. Somewhat faint aroma. Muddy yellowish orange body. Really attractive. Nice, fruity saison with a hint of funk. Really enjoyable brew. bartlebier (4123) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - JAN 26, 2014
UPDATED: AUG 18, 2014 16oz bottle from Ridgview Liquor, Green Bay/WI 08/2013, emptied midway up to the UP (from on the road notes). Test-tube Dupont, slightly metallic. Still comparatively easy drinking, given any character is on the horizon at best, but tastes mainly like laboratory funk injected into an undefined straw pale ale. There is some white pepper, grassy hops and strawy malt character but overall: A convincing, truly slow-grown organic Saison remains a thing of beauty and seems to be one of the styles beyond many US breweries’ grasp/range/interests/palates? Patrickctenchi (6731) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JAN 25, 2014
Pours cloudy orange-yellow with a short, off-white head.
Sweet fruit, barnyard aroma.
Taste is lemony, fruity, slightly yeasty, with a mild, spicy/bitter peppering.
Pretty good. Chudwick (3367) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - JAN 18, 2014
Pint bottle - nose is floral and a bit like a head shop, but maybe soapy. Spicy like incense stick ash. Citrus aftertaste. Slightly sweet and a little tart. Short finish. Light-ish body. Nuffield (4199) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - DEC 16, 2013
Indescript yellow color, somewhat darker than the norm. Some fruit appears in the front, giving way to a few grassier notes and some pepper, before fading to a quick finish. O.k., drinkable, but not distinctive. (on tap, The Stone Tap, Hudson, WI)
