Bottle at the Funky 8, Brooklyn, NYC. Quite spicy and herbal. Just a bit too sweet to be really good. Drinkable stuff as it is. Tmoney99 (14952) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 18, 2012
Bottle. Poured a hazy golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate spice, citrus and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium pepper sweet flavor with a medium spice sweet finish of moderate duration. Interesting spice beer. A hazed golden saison with a thin off white head. In aroma, nice perfumey malt with light white pepper, citrus pulp, very nice. In mouth, a nice smooth sweet incense malt, with light peppery notes, vanilla, nice and smooth. On tap at Istmus Beer and Cheese Fest, Jan 21 2012. 12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Milwaukee. Slightly hazy amber, large foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of yeast, apple, spice, bread. The taste is spicy, yeast, bread, dandelion, herbal notes, plum. Medium bodied, earthy, lingering spice. Solid. crossovert (13869) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 15, 2014
500ml bottle. Light zippy, some pepper and citrus. Typical higher-gravity american saison.

500 ml bottle at home from notes. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have pale malts, grass, peppery spice, some herbal character, yeast, decent but nothing is really memorable about this. DrSilverworm (9672) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 18, 2012
1 pint bottle. Hazy yellow color. Minimal white head. Nice, light crisp carbonation. Some lace. Drier texture. Very nice spicy-fresh citrus-peel clove aroma. Nice zesty sweet and spice taste. Definitely one of the better Hinterland beers that I’ve tried (along with the Luna Coffee). Solid ale, great to enjoy with a small baked sandwich. b3shine (9138) - Indiana, USA - MAR 31, 2013
Dract to taster. Looks solid; a transparent orange with off-white lacing. Smells doughy and spicy. Tastesike it smells, only better, with a yeasty presence too. Nice on the palate. A decent saison. drowland (9057) - Georgia, USA - AUG 21, 2012
8/11/12. GTMW. Dark golden pour, lightly hazy, with a fluffy off-white head. Light citrus, spice, and esters on the aroma. More citrus, especially lemon, on the flavor with some pales malts and spicy Belgian yeast. Not bad.
